CNN embed reporting with the Army 3rd ID, ground troops weren't scheduled to go in until tomorrow. Missiles into Kuwait this morning moved up the start by "many hours".

Couldn't happen in a better place. Of course, they'll blame it on us, overlooking the fact that if this is terrorism, one would think the terrorists wouldn't "reward" the French for their support of Muslims, extremists and Saddam by trying to kill large numbers of Frenchmen. Will never forgive the French when they said they'd withdraw their offer of help in the war on terrorism!

The French will blame the start of war as catalyst for terror attack (ricin).

Wouldn't it be rich if the country who support Saddam the most is the first one hit with terrorism?

He is describing the rolling command vehicles that have at the touch of a button can show postions of all allied troops as well as the enemy postions via satellites and drone planes. If Clancy is right then (And usually he is spot on about his technology) War is definitely changed. The Fog of War is not a hinderance any longer!

Absolutely kee-reckt ... until such time as we hit an opponent who can interfere with our communications or knock out/blind the satellites. Not too many of such opponents around, to be sure, but I imagine the Chinese are taking notes, and the French will sell them anything they need ....
