Hi All! Report from the Rally: Glenn Beck said from the stage that we had 25,000 people in Centennial Olympic Park for the Rally! It was incredible! The signs were fantastic - lots of anti-French signs: "First Iraq, then France", "Screw Jacques Chiraq" and others! I have tons of pics to post if I can figure out how to get them up! GOOD JOB GEORGIA!

"I'd love to see a crowd shot if you've got one!"
It wasn't until I got all the way up there that I remembered my INTENTION to bring my camera. I didn't see anyone else taking pictures either. Sorry. It was one beautiful sight.

It was hard to tell. We looked at a map of the park and compared it to a full stadium at a Tech game - it could very well be 25,000.

I walked over from the auto show. It sounded like a full Bobby Dodd.

Hysterical! ONLY 20?
Wow!
As an aside, just imagine if the weather had been beautiful, today. Think the numbers of participants would have risen to maybe 40,000?

Im sorry I missed you guys. I didnt get there until 12:55, thanks to MARTA. I ended up along the front fence and then getting a backstage "Volunteer" pass. Got a picture with Glenn Beck with my "I support Our Troops, I Support President Bush" sign. He didnt want an incriminating picture with "Pacifists are Parasites on Freedom" sign. Oh well.
I got loads of pictures, including crowd size looking from the stage area. Ill get them posted as soon as I get them emailed from my friend, from whom I borrowed the camera.
All I can say is WOW! What a day! Great speakers and 25,000 to 30,000 of my closest friends.

Outstanding pics by all. It was so uplifting. I was up at the front (having arived 2 hours early, concerned with traffic ya know). Did anyone else meet the lovely women with the sign that she had escaped Poland & the Germans and how proud she was to be free & in America? Or the three high school girls from Alabama that were not only lovely but pro-active patriots as well. I am moved beyond words.

It may look diffent because of Olympic Centennial Park is now there, and that is where the rally took place. Did you visit Atlanta before the Olympics?
To: NicoleGTalum
Nice sign. Needs to be repeated.
On another note, I'd better email my dad and find out if he's still in South Korea (he left Saudi) because there's a man in the first pic who is a DEAD RINGER for him.

My son and future daughter in law were there with me. We arrived to late to find the freepers. I was holding a large sign with a HUGE red, white and blue bow. It also had a small picture of my son in the corner. I started to yell "Yeah Freepers" and see who cheered. Too shy.
But it was great. The rally showed the troops that we all care except for just a few looneys.
Oh and I got my first e-mail from my son since he went into the desert. What a great day!!!

Me, my wife, and a friend were there too! We especially liked the pro-America dogs strutting about - wish we brought our two mutts.
Only complaint was MARTA - what a fiasco! Supposed to be easier than driving down and looking for a space - it wasn't. Wait times at stops were 20 minutes plus, train kept stalling along the way.
It was worth the trip though. Loved the Kimmer's speech and reading all the signs. I can't estimate crowds well, was surprised to hear 25,000, I was thinking maybe 10-15 grand. Regardless, lots of flags flying. Happy to hear the Pinkmont Park rally was a bust in comparison. Afterwards, sadly watched hated Duke destroy UNC.

I was somewhat late because of MARTA and their idiocy in closing a track at Lindberg for a renovation project on a day with a) this event b) the Auto Show c) the St. Patrick's Day parade d) the Gift/Craft show e) the model train convention and f) who knows what else going on downtown. The only reason I found everyone is that I had RobfromGA and dansangel's cell phone numbers. Next time we all try to meet at a big event, we'll have to do more exchanging of mobile numbers.

We might have been on the same train with you. MARTA really sucks. Now I know why I havent ridden it in over a year. I was looking for other signs with the FR tag on it, but didnt see any. I had mine, but I made it way up front.
We did go by Jocks & Jills after the rally but couldnt find anyone there either.
