They really shot themselves in the foot since their demographics most certainly include millions of conservative Republicans who support the president.
They need to be FReeped at their concert venues.

She is being sold on Ebay along with Blixie and Vichy:
"Dixie is a fat big mouth unappreciative American Chick who would rather live in France. We have had to duct tape her mouth shut because she just can't stop running her mouth about our President Bush during a crucial time in American history when the whole safety of the world is in his hands."
It will be interesting to see if Ebay pulls the auction either because of key word spamming or because Dixie Chicks try to VERO the seller. She is selling a legitimate product. However, during the Eminem house auction Ebay pulled all sorts of auctions playing off the key words Eminem House.

DNC is not an NGO, maybe they are funding various NGOs to aid in the demonstartions.

Dixie chick says sorry to Bush over anti-war insult The Dixie Chicks' Natalie Maines has apologised to President George Bush for an anti-war comment she made at a London concert.
"As a concerned American citizen, I apologise to President Bush because my remark was disrespectful," the country singer said in a statement.
"I feel that whoever holds that office should be treated with the utmost respect."

No, you're referring to the OTHER talentless fat chick (the one who has made a career out of gaining, then losing, vast amounts of weight).
The one I pictured is the dumpy cow from Dixie Chicks.

"the anti-American sentiment that has unfolded here is astounding." I don't get this line from the statement. Does that somehow excuse the stupid comment.
I agree, she just made it worse with this comment.

I think I'm going to go buy a Toby Keith CD now. He verbally slapped that little tramp down but good.

"I just heard about it an hour ago from a caller who said there is some kind of boycott against the Dixie Chicks," said Wendy Schroell, KPFT administrative assistant. "That is the craziest thing I have ever heard. We are going to be playing them all the time. If people are calling them un-American, how American is it to boycott someone for something they think?" ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (Secretary). Me thinks Ms. Schroell will not have a job for very long.

From El Rushbo -
Go Ahead - Boycott the Shameful Dixie Chicks
March 14, 2003
I've changed my mind on this boycott stuff. Don't buy the music of the Dixie Chicks. To heck with them - to heck with all these people who rise to great heights thanks to the freedom and opportunity in the United States, then join those who hate us overseas in denying that same freedom to the people of Iraq. Band member Natalie Maines said at a performance in London: "Just so you know, we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas."
The group later released a statement saying they have been overseas for several weeks - which of course doesn't mean in the countries of Eastern Europe that support us; No, they're going to places like Germany and France - and hearing anti-Americanism. Quote: "While we support our troops, there's nothing more frightening than the notion of going to war with Iraq and the prospect of all the innocent lives that will be lost."
Nothing more frightening? How about a nuclear 9/11 with 300,000 killed instead of 3,000? Innocent lives that will be lost? Innocents die every single day Saddam is in Iraq! Is there one bit of concern expressed here for the Iraqi people who have risen up against Saddam numerous times and begged us to help? What are these ladies trying to do, spur European sales? I have news for you, girls, Dominique de Villepin isn't buying your CDs.
These people in the music industry are really thick-heads. They're having all sorts of trouble, and then some idiot handler tells an even stupider "artist" who could never come up with this on her own, to mouth off. This is why the Grammys said, "Just shut up. You're here to sell records, not make a political statement. If you want to run for office, fine, but don't do it on this stage." So here come the Dixie Chicks, demonstrating their wizardry for the whole world. Don't buy their junk. Choose a CD from The Limbaugh Library. The late Klaus Nomi, perhaps, or Clarence "Frogman" Henry. Anything but people who are ashamed of us, right?

this was the reply from the radio station:
i haven't said anything about the dixie chicks! besides, how can you boycott a station that doesn't sell anything? if by boycott you mean you won't pay membership fees, that's fine by me. you have a right to your opinion... until bush chooses to revoke it. ----- Original Message ----- From: Enemy To: news@kpft.org Sent: Saturday, March 15, 2003 12:02 AM Subject: Re; Dixie Chics

Wendy was named appropiately..I'm sure this blew right over her liberal head. Sad thing is...country music is infected with liberals now-a-days. I wonder what Hank would have said?

What's with these anti-war people that they wait until they are overseas to make disparaging statements about the war but, most particularly, President Bush? Cluck, cluck, cluck.
The problem with Natalie and her ilk is obvious. This is not so much a matter of a war ready to begin as it is that George W. Bush is the Commander-in-Chief behind it. Sorry, left-wing folks. Your boy Bill Clinton wasted his time lobbing a few missiles here and there, and only as a "wag the dog" measure to steer attention away from his hanky-panky with that Lewinsky gal.
The best that patriotic country-music fans could do is to stay away from that American tour the Dixie Chick(en)s will be starting in May. Hit them where it counts: in the pocketbook.
