While KUPL hopes for a peaceful resolution to the Iraq conflict, we do support our President and military personnel, therefore we will no longer play Dixie Chicks music until the situation is resolved to our satisfaction." Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks has issued this statement " As a concerned American citizen, I apologize to President Bush because my remark was disrespectful. I feel that whoever holds that office should be treated with the utmost respect. We are currently in Europe and witnessing a huge anti-American sentiment as result of the perceived rush to war. While war may remain a viable option, as a mother, I just want to see every possible alternative exhausted before children and American soldiers' lives are lost. I love my country. One of the things Liberals like the Dixie Chicks cannot not tolerate is not being liked. It has to to with their problem with low self-esteem, so they are always doing something to elevate there self-esteem. So they always march in goose-step with all the other liberals. But now since they have expressed their hatred for Bush like all good liberals, they are finding out that not everybody likes them any more. This must be crushing their fagile self-esteem. Hahahahahahahaha.
