Always remember that the only real alternative is to congratulate the Bush administration for being right all along.

And that's just not an option.

Christopher Hitchens is doing exactly that ... of course his pals on the Left are pretty bummed.

For those unaware, he also wrote an excellent anti-Clinton book, which probably started him on the way to our side.

Thank you for posting this. It is a fine piece of work that skewers in advance the predictable columns the hard Left will publish, when the Iraq War is over (in about two weeks, tops) and the truths of the Hussein regime are on the table for all to see. The author has it right on the money. The Left will never, EVER, admit that it was dead wrong and President Bush was right.

Congressman Billybob

Latest column, now up on UPI, and FR, "Once, Twice, Three Times a Moron"

Latest book(let), "to Restore Trust in America."

This piece is simply AWESOME! It NAILS the left and its sad, tired methods. My goodness, I am going to print this out and give it to my leftist family members, but tell them not to read it until a few days or weeks after the invasion.

This expose should shame and embarras them, but of course, it wont...

Remember that "the imposition of western values on another civilization far older than our own is simply wrong."

Okay, this one troubles me. It may not be "wrong" but will it work over there? There called "western" values for a reason. Let the "value-system" of post-war Iraq find its own level, while hopefully a state along the lines of Turkey emerges.

Good article. What may seem like political suicide to many of us is a calculated attempt (by the oligarchy that runs the Democratic Party)to rally the Hard Left faithful who may have strayed in the wake of 9/11. If you look at the steady 25-30% who oppose action in Iraq, you'd have to say the strategy is working (i.e. compared to the 80 + percent who supported the President in the wake of 9/11). Of course, Democrats can't win with 25% of the electorate, but they can't win without that minority either. After the "appropriate" (left-wing) candidates are selected for 2004, the classic move to the "center" (aided and abetted by the alphabet media) will occur.

Blame Amerika for something (it's never out of fashion for you baby-boomers to spell America with a 'k.').

And when all else fails, call Bush a Nazi, that never fails to persuade the truly thoughtful among us.

If history repeats itself the Rats will be blaming conservatives supporting Saddam. Like the way they blame us for slavery, for starting the Vietnam war, and for Japenese internment--all the stuff they had supported that turned out to be historically wrong will be blamed on their opposition. That is how bigotry works, and bigotry equals Left.

Thanks for alerting me to this excellent piece.
Had this *an* "edge" to it, it could've been written by the great "Firehat," Norm Liebmann.

In any event this man has figured out -- & defined -- the modus operandi of the Liberal-Socialists in a grand fashion the likes I've rarely seen.
That'd goe doubly for the Liberal-Socialist mediots plaguing this nation's information highways, too.

Now if you'll excuse me.

...I've some serious pinging to do. :^)

Now ordinarily I won't bother you with anything unless it's exceptional.
Well then having said that, here ya go kid.
Some red meat to *feast* your eyes on.

In fact, know what I'm thinking about this piece?

...it's what bookmarks were made for.

American troops are likely to be met in Baghdad by cheering thousands, similar to the welcome given allied troops in the liberation of Paris from the Nazis and their Vichy collaborators (no irony there, eh?).

What a sourpuss.

You can also start claiming that Iraq fell all by itself, with help from Saddam, the Pope, and an enlightened French foreign policy. It was merely a casualty of historical inevitability that Bush and the U.S. military had nothing to do with.

It's a line Jim Creskey was trying to sell yesterday concerning the Soviet Union. Dust it off and re-use it.
