Prayer List of Our Troops
TEXOKIE

Prayer List of Our Troops

Several of us who have been meeting on the Yellow Rose of Texas prayer threads have been discussing the need that we have for a prayer thread devoted to our troops. Freepers can post names and pictures of their loved ones in the armed services here. We can post our prayers and best wishes for them and their families here in a central place.

We are in the beginning stages of planning the thread. Please, if you have a loved one, post his/her name or pseudonym below, along with a picture, if you wish, so that we can begin work.

Please ping your friends to this thread. We are trolling for names of our troops to pray for.

Thank you for your gracious and immediate response!

Thank you for your kind words.

Because phone communication has been cut off for the region that my DH is at; in every letter that I send his way - I tell him, and the troops he has contact with, that we appreciate their sacrifice and risk to life and limb in the fight to maintain our freedom.

Please Add: CPT Bill, CPT Dan, MAJ John, CPT Tom, SGT Brian, CPT Dave, LTC Jim, Chaplain Dave, COL N, COL L, COL S, General Franks, LTC Pat.

Having E-mailed MAJ John recently informing him of all the prayers going out to the troops from so many different groups and organizations. He replied that he printed out the E-mail and passed it around and it elevated morale considerably. A lot of frustration on their part with all the delays, politics, etc.

Keep up the good work and prayer for God to keep their families well and strong.

Thanks so much for starting this thread. This is perfect! Once the thread has had a few days to make the rounds, the list can be put in a Word document and sorted alphabetically.

Bump for more names!

THANK YOU! My future son-in-law is in navy training school in Florida. I don't know when he is headed to Iraq, just that he is, and he has had all his vaccines already. My daughter is visiting him now in Florida for Spring Break.

Often we get to see our prayers answered. A friend was in a terrible car wreck. It was touch and go for her for a long time. Once she healed, she had to relearn everything. Walking, talking, driving, shopping. She is a chemical engineer and a very smart young woman. My husband and other co-workers took turns taking her to Houston for her treatment. She eventually fully recovered.

When I saw her walk into a party one day, after she had recovered, I thought to myself, "I am seeing my prayers answered, right here, in the flesh. I don't know if she knew how many people were praying for her. I still get goosebumps when I remember seeing her that day at the BBQ picnic.

We can do this during the war, we can name names to pray for, and hopefully, see them come marching home again, safely! We had some penpals during the first Gulf War. We prayed for those guys!!!!!

My prayer requests will be for Robby Ellis Boswell. I will let you know when he shoves off.

Sueann started a prayer thread for our troops after 9/11 and even had Registered do a banner. I used one of Sueann's lessons for her Sunday School kids in the booklet about news I sent to my son, who was in Korea at that time.

I am glad to see this prayer thread being bumped. Sueann, have you seen this one yet?

God bless our troops.

Special prayer for baby Dillon's father who left to fight for our freedom while his infant son fought for his life over here. Today Dillion received the heart transplant he needed. Dad was given the option of staying here but he said he wouldn't have his group going into battle without him. His wife agreed. It takes a special sort of person. Bless the military and their families. They are all heros in my book.

Yes, God Bless America and Amen to your prayer. I have gone back to my comments and found a couple of threads where different FReepers told of their loved ones in the military now. I'll sort through them and find the posters and their military person and make a list to send you just in case they don't see this thread.

I ask God for his power to fall on General Franks and Don Rumsfeld...miracles of wisdom, courage, comfort and knowledge of the enemy they need to know and may not have. I pray for miracles. I pray for God to control the weather to help our troops. I pray for those poor Iraqi soldiers who are forced to fight.

Singing with y'all.
