FREE REPUBLIC NETWORK CALLS FOR NATIONWIDE RALLIES IN SUPPORT OF TROOPS
(Washington, DC) The Free Republic Network and Young Americans for Freedom are calling for nationwide rallies in support of America, our military, and the war against terrorism. Earlier today, Bob Johnson, National Director of the Free Republic Network and Jason Harding, Executive Director of Young Americans for Freedom, released the following statement on behalf of their organizations:
According to a recent CBS News poll, 69% of Americans support the use of military action in Iraq. Removing Saddam Hussein from power and eliminating his weapons of mass destruction is a necessary step in ensuring the safety and security of Americans and of freedom loving people everywhere.
We feel it is critical for Americans to stand together to demonstrate to our fellow citizens, our soldiers, our nation and the world our resolve to support our troops, stand in opposition to terrorism and terrorists, and endorse the liberation of the Iraqi people.
Today, we call on every American to help organize or attend a Rally for America event during Liberty Weekend, March 22nd and 23rd, to support these resolutions.
Information on locations, dates, times, tools and resources for organizing a Rally for America event in your area can be found at www.freeper.org. Information on Young Americans for Freedom can be found at www.yaf.com. Jason Harding can be reached at (703) 249-0777 or Jason_Harding@Hotmail.com.
