Saddam Hussein is a "Cancer".
"If we go to war with Iraq, there will be regime change."
Harsh words spoken softly by the man with the big stick.

He seems distracted, as if he is just reading responses. His eyes shift and do not hold focus. He is worried about something. This Press conference, at this time, was not his idea. The way he shifts the weight from one leg to the other speaks volumes.

"That religion, which above all others was founded and propagated by the sword--the tenets and principles of which are...incentives to slaughter and which in three continents had produced fighting breeds of men--stimulates a wild and merciless fanaticism."

"Close your eyes and imagine for a moment Owl Gore doing this press conference..."
He'd be telling us that we are sending Iraq 4 billion dollars and materials to make a nuclear reactor cuz Saddam promises to be good.
I'm now going to fall on my knees and thank God that this is not happening.

PLEASE, let the next generation of reporters have some frickin' sense. It's like watching President Bush answer questions to 5 year olds.
To: PhiKapMom
Our President is speaking directly to the American people and people around the world, without a media filter.

"
The only disappointment I have tonite is that some Freepers are acting like dems,,,this is for the world, not some posturing drama moment ,,,this is his last word before starting the war. The man is hounded beyond belief, subject to horrid smears, tolerates fools daily,,,he doesn't disappoint me a bit. He is the real thing, a quiet man, a sober man, an endlessly patient man. Better than most men I have known. We are so lucky. So quit bitching"M
Well said and DITTO!

I truly love Bush, but I cannot watch another minute of his mumbling through the same old same old. He is carefully avoiding saying anything angry or tough. Couching his answers in PC terms just isn't his style.
I wish he'd waited to hold this conference until bombs are dropping on the Baghdaddies.

Let me spell it out for you. North Korea is a mad dog that has nukes. They can nuke Seoul in a flash if we invade.
Iraq is a mad dog trying to get to that level of blackmail. We are invading to make sure they don't get there. Gee, that wasn't too hard, was it?

>>He just keeps saying the same things in every answer.<<
It's called the broken record response - very effective.
This may not seem like much, but it is the simple chess move necessary before mate.
He's done the "Waiting is over" speech now. The next voice you hear will be from the oval office. On a 335 step process to giving the "go," this little press conference is step 334.

This press conference is total garbage. I am a loyal and patriotic American...Bush is our President and I respect him as such, but if I were to say that I wasn't losing confidence in him I would be lying. He is looking more and more like his dad...

"we WILL BE CHANGING THE regime in Iraq for the benefit of the Iraqi people"
To: Txslady
I don't need to know anymore. I am convinced. I am just tired of all this politicing. It plays right into the hands of all the press, liberals, losers, etc. The time for diplomacy is over, tell the world we are coming after Saddam, then NK, then Iran, then anybody else who tries to hurt us.

What do you want him to say, WHEN WE GO TO WAR?
Buy a clue. You're just as bad as the liberals.
