To be honest, I would rather be watching that military reality show on ABC that is on tonight. We have heard all of this before.

I don't think Reagan ever did anything this brave or this critical. This man is incredible. He is conveying that war is here. He is trying to reason with concrete ignoramuses,,that has to take a toll.

Give it ten days and see how you feel.

ok.."bored" is the wrong word. But, I was hoping for some fire...serious fire, but fire all the same. The fire will come next week, when GW tells us "The Liberation of Iraq has begun".

Bloomberg news...if all nations have access to same intelligence...why is it so important to move to the brink of war....maybe we should look at what was suggested by the Canadians to give saddam time to come clean (LOL) and give you more time within the sec council....
President...we are consulting with UN, but meant what I said - last phase of diplomacy - saeddam has had 12 years to disarm...he is decieving people...if he intended to we would know....he's trying to buy time.....he's been successful with these tactics for 12 years....he is a threat to our nation.....my job is to protect the American people. Used to think you could contain a person like saddam, 9-11 should say to the American people that we are NOW A BATTLEFIELD....WMD could be deployed here by a terrorist nation...so therefore I think the threat is real...and so do other people in the gov't....and because my most important goal is to protect the american people....we will disarm if he does not disarm....

Let's all try to remember that the vast majority of people in this country don't know as much about this as we do.
This speech isn't to us; it's to them.

I feel the same way, I'm not sure what the point of this was.
He looks really distracted and not quite all there.
I'm sort of afraid he's going to flub the answers to the questions because he's obviously got a ton on his mind.
Poor guy, I'm glad i dont have his job....

Blair told Parliament last week he would not go to war without going back to Parliament. Unless the UN gives approval, his Labor Party will not authorize Britain's participation. I just don't believe there will be any such UN approval. This means he will have to kowtow to his party or be replaced. That would mean withdrawal of Brit support. While we could continue without such support immense pressure will be on the US to give more time. If we agree to this request, we will have to withdraw. We simply cannot affort to keep these troops in the desert until October. Both the financial cost and the cost in morale would be prohibitive. If we do withdraw, I believe our Kuwaiti and Quatari allies will desert us and try to make up with the Iraqis and Iranians believing that the West has no will. Better for them to make peace with the evil that they will have to live with.
Bush must go NOW and if a quick victory we might be able to save Blair, otherwise he is toast in Britain. When it appears that the US is doing well, Parliament may well give him permission to use British Forces. I think he will covertly use those forces in the early phases of the war w/o going to parliament. But we cannot continue to delay this matter, for every day the power of the left in Britain and Australia grows. Not to mention the power of the left in the US.
