All I want is the same containment policy that Bush favors for N Korea, applied to Iraq.IT HAS BEEN, FOR 12 YEARS! Sheesh.

Ron Hutcheson, Ft. Worth Star-Telegram: What if they're right? Was he the slimy, smug, pissy little man-bitch with the grey hair that asked Bush if he stayed up "in the wee hours of the night" thinking about the war? I de-spiiiiiiiiiiiise him!

I'd pay to see that on Pay For View!

Unfortunately, Howlin, in Fox's attempt at being "fair and balanced," they must provide airtime to scum sucking bilge like Gary Hart.

Why is it you are failing to understand the most basic geographic and technical realities here?
1) NORTH KOREA HAS NUKES. Which word in this sentence do you not understand? Only 2 or 3 "little-boy" nukes, but they are bad enough.
2) Seoul (pop ~ 12 million) is TWELVE MILES from the DMZ.
3) NK has enough med-range missiles to hit Seoul and Japan. Iraq does not have any nuclear-capable missiles...yet.
4) There is a massive artillery presence along the DMZ, enough to kill millions of SKs *without* nukes. Iraq can't threaten Israel, out 12 years of air patrols in the north and south have eliminated the threat to anybosy but Iran, and killing Arabs will not further Sadaam's dreams of a Pan-Arab state with him as living god.
The difference here is casualties. 10,000 in Iraq, 10,000,000 in Korea. As for privation and repression and ruin, yes, the NKs have Iraq beat, hands down.

I thought the president slapped more than one reporter upside the head tonight. Too bad they're too stupid to realize it.

Psalms 112
6 For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered for ever. 7 He is not afraid of evil tidings; his heart is firm, trusting in the LORD. 8 His heart is steady, he will not be afraid, until he sees his desire on his adversaries. 9 He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures for ever; his horn is exalted in honor. 10 The wicked man sees it and is angry; he gnashes his teeth and melts away; the desire of the wicked man comes to nought

My two favorite parts were when he said that he is going to call for a vote,so everyone in the Security Council is forced to put their cards on the table and when he almost got teary, saying he was humbled by the knowledge that so many Americans pray for him daily, people he will never meet and be able to thank I totally agree.
To: Crusher138
there is good intelligence tying him to various terrorist groups, since we were attacked on 9/11 by terrorists groups
What terrorists who have attacked the United States were supported by Saddam? Not OBL - or at least no evidence provided so far. If Saddam-supported terrorists have attacked other countries, then let those countries go after Saddam. Nobody has offered evidence that they've attacked us. Once again, if containment will work against North Korea -- and Bush says it will - - I merely am a Bush supporter who'd like to see that Bush policy tried against Iraq. Just as Being for Contaiment in N Korea doesn't make Bush a traitor or disloyal, so being for containment in Iraq doesn't make me a traitor or disloyal, merely someone who wants some consistency in foreign policy.
To: gopno1
Also, does anyone seem to notice that the Democrat "talking points" are focused on North Korea? The reporters, Daschle, Hart etc...

Gary Hart is saying that if we attack Saddam he will surely strike against us.
His point is, to leave Saddam alone, so he won't be provoked, LOL!
IOW's, Saddam having WOMD doesn't mean he will use them on us, unless we strike first.
Now, he says North Korea is a bigger threat than Saddam.
So glad this mush-head never became our President.

I am sick to death of Fox having dipwads like Gary Hart on there. Except every now and then it's nice to have a bathroom break ;-)

EXCERPT:
When asked what his faith in God meant to him, the President replied, "My faith sustains me. I pray daily - I pray for guidance, and wisdom, and strength. If we were to commit our troops...I would pray for their safety, and I would pray for the safety of innocent Iraqi lives as well."
Continuing on, he thanked Americans for keeping him in his prayers. "It is a humbling experience that people I have never met have lifted me and my family up in prayer; and for that I am very grateful. I pray for peace, I pray for peace."
Rest of story...
