And interestingly it was DEM presidents who got us into and kept us in Viet Nam ---but DIMS conveniently forget that pesky detail

These stupid reporters are having an epiphany tonight. They thought they would change the world. They understand it will not be them, but George W. Bush who changes the world. And they cannot change that fact.

One of these days I may stop being surprised at how good Bush really is – I doubt the Dems will. As I have said before, he is the only politician I like more after voting for him than before. I am surprised by the opposition here, we may have wanted him to declare war did we really expect it? He is laying out the groundwork; Iraq is not the end – it is only the beginning. The President is doing what he can to build a consensus. We can go this alone – or with our most trusted allies – but this is going to be a long and bloody battle (going far beyond Iraq) and we can use all the help we can get, foreign and domestic.

I do not pray as much as I should; but I have been trying to remember to pray for the President and the troops, I hope those of you who are praying people do the same. And, as a real test of faith, it is not too late to pray for a just peace. Because the One we are asking it of is capable of granting it.

I's amazing to see the Libs see this as an equivalent to Vietnam. How thick can you get?

Bottom line: NK has nukes. Can kill millions. Iraq can't hit Israel, Kuwait, Saudi, or anybody.

US has nukes as well - can wipe out NK if necessary. But that isn't the problem with NK. NK isn't significant. They really aren't very barbaric so much as they are wanting the world to know that they are present. NK at this point, despite their sabre rattling, is not a threat to anybody short of S. Korea and possibly Japan. An attack on either entity would assure their own destruction and they know it. They'll yell, scream, jump up and down, and such, but they won't bite off more than they can chew.

I love it! They are clearly outclassed by a man who's loved by the American people and hated by them.

you do realize, don't you, that while you think you're arguing your particular cowardice in connection with iraq, in fact what you're arguing is for the addition of twit filters to the f.r. software, right?

one cavity at a time

Sir, you're ignoring the fact that Bush says that diplomacy is appropriate viz N Korea. I take him at his word. I merely need to have explained to me why diplomacy and containment is acceptable there, but not in Iraq. You're saying that military force will be applied against N Korea; Bush says the opposite - - and since he's the comm-in-chief, I'm listening to him. But I want to know why the double standard btw N Korea and Iraq?

Notice that he didn't even address the "Vietnam" question, it was properly ignored.

The difference between Iraq and Vietnam is that we will stay the course, and not abandon the people of Iraq half way as we did the freedom loving people in Southeast Asia, who were slaughterd by the communists after we left.
