IMHO GW has settled on a plan and the military has been given a date. We will go through the final motions in the U.N. and very shortly therafter we intervene.
A week at best?

Again, unless you are braindead, you should be able to see this is a press conference simply intended to give reporters updates.

Yes, I believe that the "concern" everybody sees on his face is about exactly that, the anthrax. Who sent the post 9/11 anthrax?

Ummm...no.
To go to war AT ALL in 1991 vs. Iraq took incredible force of will and courage Dukakis surely wouldn't have.
To all the Monday Morning Quarterbacks whining about not going to Baghdad in 91, remember the war resolution BARELY made it through Congress at all.
Remember the zillions of people saying "We need to give time for sanctions to bite?" People seriously wanted to wait 1-2 years for sanctions to force Hussein out of Kuwait. We now know that would have been precisely enough time for him to build an atomic bomb.
Remember the people convinced we'd have tens of thousands killed?
Anyone calling Bush Sr. a chickenshit is pathetic.

I don't know how President Bush can stand talking to these reporters. He is a better *man* than I ... ;)

For freepers, it's because the book of Revelation doesn't mention N Korea.You appear to be fixated on The Book of Revelations as if that were what this is all about. President Bush was asked about North Korea and he responded that the situation with that country is a regional one. That is being handled by discourse with China, Japan and South Korea, among others. I, for one, do not appreciate your jabs at Christianity and hope that you will actually listen to what is being said in the news conference.

He's been so thoughtful, and at times funny. He's got the weight of the world on his shoulders, and he's got the strength of one within him.

What the crap are you talking about? I have given him all the breaks and support, but he has allowed this to become politicized and it is time to end this and move to the next phase. I know what Bush wants to do but for some reason has not been able to do it yet. It is MY opinion that he has made a mistake in letting this go on this long, but that doesn't make me a basher or a coward.
I waited 11 days for them to dig my mothers body out of the Murrah building rubble, and I firmly believe the Iraqis were involved. So excuse me if I am a little impatient to rid the world of terrorists.

Nah, I'm naughty, but thank you, glock.
Prayers welcome. (^;
