Bush is a "practicing" Christian?
I'm glad to hear this.
What was Carter?

Nicely put, John. Nicely put!
This man is driving the Liberals crazy, just by being himself. Of course, behind it all is their distain of the Bible and Jesus.
If this were President Bill Clinton waking up early every morning (not that he would, or even could) just to peruse his thumb-worn copy of Whips and Leather before a hard day in the office with Monica, they would celebrate him for being "honest".
These people have no decency, much less shame! They need Jesus as badly as the most rabid Islamifascist. They are all running in the same direction - away from Him.

About
Benjamin Franklin:
But in the Constitutional Convention of 1787 he offered a motion in favour of holding daily prayers before the deliberations of the assembly, for, as he declared, the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this Truth, that God governs in the Affairs of Men.

"The Bush administration is dedicated to the idea that there is an answer to societal problems here and to terrorism abroad: give everyone, everywhere, the freedom to find God, too." *gasp*
"With the very open Bush-Pope split on Iraq, claims in the Arab world that Bush is a crusader -- a notion NEWSWEEK sought to stoke with it's Bush and God cover story -- will ring more hollow than ever."
*ahhhh*
One of your very best, JH2. Thanks!

This is the issue that finally pushed me over the edge. There is a certain paragraph in this story that did it, and as soon as I get home, I will find it and put it here. But I have subscribed to Newsweek for 7 years, and have always managed to overlook the liberal slant, and like the news they provide, their sources, etc. but I had to cancel it after this.
I for one am glad our President has a moral compass. I know I do, and it make decisions easier to uphold.
Now, I've got to get that quote from the article.
