I think Sen. Graham should concern himself with breaking the Estrada filibuster and other important matters. Why waste legislation on these morons? As long as they do not impede our military operations, let them exercise their free speech. The DoD has given them the obligatory warning. I see no need for any branch of the government to concern itself any further.

Why not pull their passports and not let them back into the US when they try to re-enter? Send them back to Baghdad, or Kabul, or Yemen, or Saudi Arabia, or Sudan. Then, let's sit back and take delight in their whimpering.

It would be good to establish some kind of legal record that would always be attached to them, where prospective employers would be advised, pro or con (in the company's own judgement), on how they fit their company's requirements.

While I don't condone "knee-jerk" reactions to controversial situations such as this, I honestly do believe, after some thought on the matter, that we shouldn't bother with any legal wranglings with these people. They've made a choice to put themselves in harm's way; let them face the consequences. Forget about all this talk about labeling them traitors....

Bomb the targets we would've bombed anyway (which were NEVER the schools and hospitals these fools went over to 'protect'), and if some of them die as a result of the bombing, TOUGH.

A declaration of war is not necessary for a state of war to exist. The United States *never* declared war against the Confederacy, yet we were at war.

Additionally, it is not necessary for a state of war to exist to pursue a charge of treason. Aaron Burr was charged and tried for treason, even though the United States was at peace -- throughout the time of the alleged treason, and throughout the trial.

Having settled that issue, who is going to get the rope?

The legal issues are difficult, and of course there are political issues to. Would prosecuting them help the war effort, or would it raise resentment against Bush among people who don't already hate him?

We haven't officially declared war against anyone in a dog's age. Truman called Korea a "police action," and similar dodges have been used ever since.

If the bombs start dropping and these freaks continue to assist Saddam and complicate the job of our troops, then they can rightly be called traitors. At the moment they are merely idiots who are risking treason or an Iraqi torture cell every day that passes.

They were interferring in a military operation, and thus they were aiding the enemy.

Actually since the use of force has been authorized by Congress we legally are at war already. Therefor they are subject to prosecution for treason for any aid and comfort that they give the enemy. Once the invasion has started they are legitimate targets and all we can do is hope the military forces do nit hesitate to take them out as they come upon them. If they surrender then try them for treason.

Funny thing about those morons being human shields is, who's to say that saddam isn't laughing his butt off at them because he has told the Iraqi population to spit, sh!t and place aflotoxin into the food that those peacenik weanies are buying and eating over there, so in the end the peaceniks will end up dead anyway...haha nasty trick huh, always good for a laugh.
