2 men arrested in Roanoke; suspected of false identity

The FBI had been searching for the men after they were seen taking pictures of a dam in Tennessee.

By SHAWNA MORRISON THE ROANOKE TIMES

Two men who were wanted by the FBI for allegedly using false information to obtain Virginia driver's licenses were arrested in Roanoke on Monday.

One of the brothers had been seen taking pictures of a Tennessee dam early Sunday morning, raising the suspicion of authorities.

Ahmed Helmy Mostafa, also known as Ahmed Mohammed Elsakaan or Ahmed Mohammed Helmy Elsakaan, and an unidentified woman were spotted taking pictures of Norris Dam, a hydroelectric station about 20 miles north of Knoxville, between 4 and 5 a.m. Sunday. The pair was questioned by a Tennessee Valley Authority police officer, but they couldn't be detained because their actions were not illegal.

Replies like yours might upset these Darwin candidates for the Terminally Deluded!

The only ones I see around here like that are the Bush supporters who claim he is a conservative, and they are as much in touch with reality as the Michael Jackson supporters are who claim he really IS a hetrosexual man.

Yeah, yeah....we've heard it all before. Those are the same ones who would elect Hillary, while punching their ticket for some single-digit type. Somehow they think that living under such a witch would 'teach everyone a lesson'......like they wouldn't live in the same country with a witch in charge. No accountin' I guess.....

Have a plastic Bush bobbing on the dashboard of your car,do ya? I'm assuming it's a miniture plastic Bush, and not the real plastic Bush?

No, actually, I don't.

I just wonder sometimes where you get off implying that President Bush's faith in Christ isn't real. It's one thing to disagree with his policies, but you haven't any concrete reason to doubt his relationship with God. Your fear and loathing of him has reached the point of being irrational, and you're making a fool of yourself.

Might I suggest that you do some research and find a place to live that better suits your needs, wants and beliefs.

I'm considering doing just that. I can tell you one thing, this is NOT the America I fought for!

America is quickly becoming 1960's China, with our own "cult of personality". Bubba Bush is a statist and a MUCH bigger danger to our Republic than Bubba Clinton ever was,yet all the brain-dead Bush-Bots here worship him like he is the second-coming of Christ. On the other side we have their twins doing the same with Bubba-1. This used to be a good country before the idiots took over.

If it is purely a state matter,

If it's NOT a state matter,WHY does each state have their own standards and issue their own drivers licenses?

who would TN care if they use a fake Virginia license?

READ THE DAMN STORY! Tennessee DOESN'T care. There was a arrest warrant out for them because faking a state drivers license seems to now be a FEDERAL crime. You can thank your heroic leader for that.

LOL! How shrill and paranoid of you. Not to worry, we all know that Bush is neither Christ nor (as you might suggest) the anti-Christ. But that's okay....you go on embracing the lib/dems.

We'd been bombing Iraq LONG before 9/11.

That was what made Iraq the easy choice when Ali Bubba needed something to distract the public from the sinking economy, and from the involvement of his Saudi friends in what happened on 9-11. Hussein and Iraq were ready-made villians, just waiting to be blamed for something.

What was wrong with what I wrote in that post? I challenge you to point it out. You won't because you can't.

I looked at your page and didn't see any history, or get any idea that you have served, or even what area of the country you live in. Makes it a little hard to make comments with so little information. By the way, thanks for the service you gave to our country.

As a further suggestion, have you considered running for office in your state? With so many things needed to be changed through out this land of ours, we could use people with strong, conservative beliefs and passions. It really does no good to run away, and it is evident that you are willing to fight for what you believe in. Get involved locally, and fight for what is right in your mind. The only way the "idiots" can be replaced is if some one with better ideas step forward.

If it is interstate, it's a federal matter.

Hehe. I really find you endearing AP, and I'm not being sarcastic. These absurd one-liners are funny, it's almost as if you're trying to discover what you could get away with.

I wouldn't mind if the reason for the detention was "they were born in the ME and we're at war". I would agree 100%, as I don't think foreigners have constitutional rights.

The ill-concieved notion that anything that could potentially cross state lines at any time during it's useful life should be considered a "federal matter" is a big steaming pile of horse***t, and you know it.

On the serious side, when the Bush admin is gone and the WOT is over (which they'll probably never declare as they're having so much fun using as an excuse to do and spend whatever they please) we're going to regret all of this "looking the other way" that we're doing.

Tennessee DOESN'T care

Tennessee SHOULD care if someone is using a fake ID but how can they know it is fake if there is no central control of the process?

If Tenn can't tell if they're fakes with its own ID's, how will the feds fare any better?

Blame the Constitution. It becomes a federal matter because the individual states went too far in determining civil rights and legal matters(remember slavery?). If the states handled it, TN could make the manufacture of fake non-TN ID's legal and people could make them and haul them across the border.

Sorry but I don't have compassion for terrorists and illegals. And I don't think the federal government is going to sweep us into concentration camps.

"Caesar si viveret, ad remum dareris"

I'm not very good with latin, so at first I thought this statement had something to do with the king being alive (or some such).

Now I see that it means "I won't give you the courtesy of responding to your post in context".

Well, since we have had 4 acts of terror in this country in the last 30 or so years,I think we should all hide under our beds until the feral gooberment tells us it's safe to come out again.

Actually, we have had more then that. During the 70's the Puerto Rican Liberation Army planted bombs at several NYC Banks. The SLA, also in the 70's. In the 80's & 90's T. Kazinksi was sending mail bombs that killed a number of people. And let's not forget the Tree Loving, firebombing movement of the North West and PETA's tactics against labs. I'm sure there are more.

Oh, I forgot -- the FBI in Waco and Ruby Ridge (but that was "officially" sanctioned terrorism)
