Fox News contributor on with Brit Hume said, in passing really, that 9 other Al-Qaeda operartives had been captured with KSM. Some reports had listed Saif al-Adel as captured but this is the first that I had heard of a larger group captured. Any FReepers have more information?
FOX NEWS.com (AP): "PAKISTANI POLICE ARREST SEPTEMBER 11 MASTERMIND" (ARTICLE SNIPPETS: "ISLAMABAD, Pakistan -- Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the suspected mastermind of Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks in the United States, was arrested Saturday in Pakistan, a senior Pakistan government source told The Associated Press." ... 'A second man arrested in Saturday's raid in Rawalpindi was also of Middle Eastern origin but has not been identified. The Pakistani who was also arrested has been identified as Abdul Qadoos. Interior Ministry spokesman Iftikar Ahmad said that Qadoos was linked to a terrorist organization, but he refused to identify it. He said that Qadoos had received training in Afghanistan.") (March 1, 2003)
FOX NEWS.com (AP): "MAN ARRESTED IN U.S. CONSULATE SHOOTING WANTED TO DIE, POLICE SAY" (ARTICLE SNIPPET: "KARACHI, Pakistan -- A man arrested after opening fire and killing two Pakistani police officers guarding the U.S. Consulate in this southern city had a note in his pocket saying it was his duty as a Muslim to kill the protectors of infidel Americans, officials said Saturday. The man, identified as Zulfiqar Ali, 30, was brought to court Saturday and ordered remanded into police custody on charges of murder, attempted murder and firing a weapon. He faces the death penalty if convicted, police said. When arrested, Ali had a sketched map detailing the consulate's outside security arrangements, deputy superintendent of police Gul Hamid Sammo told The Associated Press. "I am going to kill the police officers who are protecting the infidels," the letter found in Ali's pocket said, according to Sammo. "This is my religious obligation."") (March 1, 2003)
Now we just have to modify those minds who believe that 72 virgins are waiting. What fools!!
Did anyone else hear this report??
For certain ,there were more.
"For certain ,there were more.
There were. Mansoor said that three others were captured with Mohammed, then an additional seven later on. I counted 10 plus Mohammed for a total of eleven.
I agree, most others on Fox cut him short. I like this guy.
BTW, he has a BS in nuclear physics and a BS in mechanical engineering from MIT.

*Note: There has been some contradictory information as to the status of this individual. Abu Mohammed al-Masri is a nom de guerre, hence one should not confuse him with the al-Qaeda functionary of the same name who was recently killed in Algeria working with the GSPC. Mossad reportedly had intelligence that al-Masri might have been one of the suicide bombers involved in the al-Qaeda attack in Mombasa, but near as I can tell the findings were not corroborated **Note: Per Knight Ridder, he may have been captured along with Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. If this is indeed true it would be exceedingly good news. |
Sheikh Saeed (Mustafa Ahmed al-Hisawi?) Head of the Financial Committee At Large
We got this guy in the KSM raid!!!!!!
Sometimes he shows up on Greta's show.
Tonight he will be in demand!
Yup. Looks like he'd be an interesting guy to spend an evening with. (ahem)
