Our thanks to our speakers--all of whom kept their committment despite the lousy weather. Thanks also, to our friend Notra Trulock, who had to cancel due to personal reasons.
Special thanks to Sean Hannity. Many people travelled great distances to attend because of his mentions of the rally on his radio show when Bob Dornan was a guest on Tuesday.
It was great to see old FRiends, and meet new ones, who hit the road to stand with us yesterday. Spring is coming. We promise better weather for the next time we rally--hopefully in a victory celebration.

OMG! I am watching one of my favorite heroes BOB B1 BOMBER DORNAN.
You FReepers that represent our country for the past and present years are also my heroes!
God Bless You for all your commitment.
Putting together this rally and having it televised is a real morale boost for not only the troops but for all of us that love our freedom.
All Freepers across the country should find some time in their busy lives to support our country wether locally or nationally.
I visited the Canteen today another wonderful peice of work by a FReeper.
The fruit idea is fantastic would of never knew unless I went to the canteen.
Thank you FR

I just finished videotaping the C-Span coverage of the rally. It was GREAT!! I loved the remarks you made about JimRob, and also when you asked all the veterans that were there to come up on the stage and stand behind Kevin as he spoke so eloquently at the end.
BTW! I happened to be in my car last night around 9:15 listening to a re-airing of a show called, "The Weekend" on Clear Channel Radio when I heard a FReeper call the host live from the DC Patriot's Rally. He invited people to come out to the rally and mentioned the fact that it was Bob Dornan's voice we heard in the background on stage giving a speech.
Was that you who called in?
I thought the Washington Post and Washington Times articles about the rally were really good!
Thanks for all you do there in DC for the cause!
EAGLES UP!!!

Thank you to the DC Chapter for having me as a guest speaker and for the surprize of the Veteran on stage with me. Thank you to the members of Freerepublic for the all the kind comments that I have seen on the thread you guys and girls make me feel special, okay Freepers I am considering and I do mean considering a run at Maryland's 2nd Congressional District I will be talking to Maryland's Republican Party Leaders in the next couple of weeks at their thoughts on if we can retake the district in 2004, I will have to see what their feeling are on the matter.

At one point, I was standing next to a couple who came to our rally all the way from Pontiac, Michigan! (They probably weren't as cold as the rest of us.) I didn't get their names, but I hope they're reading. Thank you for coming all that way to support our troops and our country.

Thanks to all of you wonderful friends of freedom. I see there are, as always, a very few doggies who cannot pass a fire hydrant without . . . well, but the outpouring of support was heartwarming and very much deserved.
The rallies are growing, in size and number, and will continue to grow as more and more Americans run to be part of the parade.
Thank you all for being the firestarters!
I notice one of the newspapers said Free Republic was based in D.C. LOL!

How about a cease fire? Too much of this thread is like a circular firing squad.
Too much "friendly fire" among people who share many of the same goals.
The pattern: a first person makes an insensitive remark or at least a remark that a second person perceives as rude. The second person lashes back. The first person then attacks the second person, who snaps back. Soon FReepers are trading insults like "your Mama's so fat" and it goes downhill from there.
I've apologized for being grumpy in one of my responses where I overreacted. I don't expect anyone else to apologize.
I would ask if all FReepers would please do two things. First, carefully consider whether a possible post conveys a tone or message that is, or could be considered, insulting. Try to be as friendly as possible even in disagreeing or criticizing. Second, in reading and responding to others' posts try not to be quick to anger or to easily take offense.
And I don't intend to threaten anyone, but if people can't be more polite, I may try to bring in Jimmy Carter to mediate. :) [After all, he solved the Korean nuclear crisis & won the Nobel Peace Prize, he must be good.]

My personal thanks to all who made the Patriots Rally for America IV possible. Every one of you did a fanFReepingtastic job!
A huge Bravo Zulu! to all who attended, despite the inclement weather, and to all who spoke for America, President Bush and the brave American men and women who are serving in our Armed Force.
