PATRIOTS RALLY FOR AMERICA IV ON C-SPAN TODAY, 1:05 P.M. EST, 3/02/03
C-SPAN ^ | Sunday, March 2, 2003 | Kristinn

Posted on 03/02/2003 5:36:42 AM PST by kristinn

Shiver along with the D.C. Chapter, FReepers from across the country, other patriotic Americans and Iraqi exiles as C-SPAN broadcasts the Patriots Rally For America IV today at 1:05 p.m.

Recorded yesterday at the cold, fog-shrouded, snow-covered grounds of the Washington Monument, the rally held to support our troops, President Bush and the American policy on Iraq features former Rep. Bob Dornan, Aziz Al-Taee, Blanquita Cullum, John Armor, James Parmelee, Kevin Martin, Adam Ramey and yours truly.

Also featured are singers Cullen Martin, Stephanie Souders and, from Nashville, Lowell Shyette.

The program, if shown in it's entirety, should run three hours and fifteen minutes.

Get some hot chocolate ready, pop some popcorn, put on your red, white and blue sweaters and get ready to root for the home team: the men and women serving in our Armed Forces.

EAGLES UP !!!

Thanks for that insight on Aziz... I had no idea that the left was attacking him like that. Why am I not surprised. God bless him and the other brave Iraqi-Americans who stood on that stage yesterday!

{{{'Pod}}} LOL, I KNOW the feeling. 'Pod, there are a lot of compliments in this thread, remember that.

And remember who we're doing this for, ultimately. Not other Freepers: it's for the nation and for the troops. I wish you could have seen how the Pentagon people responded to our rally flyers. Trust me, we've done good.

LOL! Go Florida. We bumped you from the stage at the end, did we not? I was upstairs typing on this thread, but I'm pretty sure Kristinn did mention you guys at the end, and I hope Floridians watching CPSAN get inspired too.

DC Freepers have made a positive difference to the United States. They did so yesterday, and the coverage on CSPAN today is wonderful.

Yep they are an inspiration .. they inspire others around the country to stand up for what is right .. some get out with the american flag, others send letters to our congress man and women .. some send letters to the President and our Troops letting them know we are behind 100%

And if anyone thinks this is not helping .. think again

I keep getting emails from my LIBERAL father in-law SLAMMING the left and their attacks against our country ..

This morning I recieved and email from a friend who is not a Freeper .. he attached a picture of a one of Support Our Troops rallies a few weeks ago

The hard work? Just a lawyer? If that weren't so funny, it would be sad.

The only reason I'm getting a law degree is to become a judge; it's kind of hard to do that WITHOUT a J.D. I want to be a judge so that I can undo and prevent the damage done by others who muddy our common law by legislating from the bench.

THAT is a committment, THAT is hard work. LAW SCHOOL is HARD WORK. My committment to conservatism goes far beyond marching around with pretty signs. I'm taking action to put myself in a position to make a real, material difference.

Mock me if you want, but at the end of the day when my butt (hopefully) is sitting on a federal bench, you'll be pleased as punch to have me up there upholding and defending everything that is good and pure -- i.e. everything that you stand for.

Great work, Julie! My order of these stickers just came in... I'm starting to hand them out to friends and family. I just wish they were a bit BIGGER so they stand out better!

Bravo to Kevin, I was proud to be on the stage with him. He is a really good speaker and tells it like it is.

You guys did good. Real Freepers know that.

...It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen to set brush fires in people's minds...Sam Adams

I liken the "Support Our Troop" rally movement to the first couple of days down here in Florida, i.e., November 8 & 9, 2000.

It was only a couple dozen Freepers out there at first...and then we all saw what happened!

It is the role of a Freeper to lead our fellow citizens.

Sometimes they follow, sometimes they don't.

We just don't have that local conservative talk radio hero that we need. We have to think of another way to work with these radio stations. Joint sponsorhip or something where they incessantly plug? I'm all for always rethinking and building it even bigger -- we're 5 times our size from January 17th, despite the snow -- and I almost WISH someone on this thread had thought of something we hadn't. I think we should go back and keep rethinking and get even better somehow. This is the time to think about how. I'm proud of us all and I'm thinking of how we can do more. I'm still more than a little embarassed about mentioning how much leafletting I or Republic or CH did -- it was *nothing* compared to the sacrifice that our deployed troops and their families make. If there's a *way* I can do more next time, I will. I struggle to think of what that way is.

Do I *have* to mock you as you request? Or would just repeating that phrase be sufficient? ;) Why don't you just claim to be the next President, too?

Needless to say, I've enjoyed both of your posts in this thread. I really mean it when I say that I wish the people critiquing us had more concrete suggestions of things we didn't try. Do you guys have any ideas?

Hit the nail on the head, it is not wether you get a lot or you get a few, as long as you get some, if you have the right issue the crowds will come eventually.

What year(at Harvard)? Many of my friends from Brown attended between 97 and now. Where do you practice? Where did you do your undergrad work? What kind of law do you practice?

And for good measure: who was the original plaintiff in Neff v. Pennoyer? If you're really a lawyer, you'll know the answer. :)

Don't write anything down with your real name attached to it, wouldn't want a paper trail.

I wish you well in your specific goal to be a federal judge.

Having the specific goal is 80% of the battle. Always keep your specific in your mind and be ready to react to the world as it changes. If you do this, you will succeed.

I'm a very good lawyer. And I don't answer questions from you, Mr.NeverWillBeAFederalJudge. Your friends attended Brown between 97 and now. You're a total youngster. You don't even have a degree. But you know some day you'll be a federal judge and we'll be ever grateful to you.

LOL. Sorry, I'm not to be interviewed by the likes of you.

Congratulations on the federal judgeship by the way. Hope that works out for you.

I just finished videotaping the C-Span coverage of the rally. It was GREAT!! I loved the remarks you made about JimRob, and also when you asked all the veterans that were there to come up on the stage and stand behind Kevin as he spoke so eloquently at the end.

BTW! I happened to be in my car last night around 9:15 listening to a re-airing of a show called, "The Weekend" on Clear Channel Radio when I heard a FReeper call the host live from the DC Patriot's Rally. He invited people to come out to the rally and mentioned the fact that it was Bob Dornan's voice we heard in the background on stage giving a speech.

Was that you who called in?

I thought the Washington Post and Washington Times articles about the rally were really good!

Thanks for all you do there in DC for the cause!

EAGLES UP!!!

Unfortunately, didn't get chance to see CPAN.

After last week's Orlando rally & this week's Melbourne, my "honey do" list is up to 6 or seven pages now!

Do you guys have any ideas?

Just keep doing what you are doing .. It IS making a difference regardless of what some think

It's folks like you that give inspiration to others like in Texas .. Florida .. California and MANY MANY other cities across the country

Not everyone can drive or fly to DC but they can and are having thier own rallies in their own cities

If I recall during the 2000 election mess .. the media tried to ignore us .. but soon it became obvious that they no longer could ..

Like I mention .. some may not be able to attend these rallies .. but there are many other ways to show our support
