Former Berkeley Systems owners, husband & wife team of Wes Boyd and Joan Blades are now known for the success of their latest venture, a "flash campaign" called MoveOn.org. MoveOn.org is one of the leading supporters of the anti-war movement in America today.

Can you say dot.commies.

The company also well known for their creation of the "After Dark" screensavers, and the lovable 'flying toasters'. What does this have to do with the anti-war movement? Former Berkeley Systems owners, husband & wife team of Wes Boyd and Joan Blades are now known for the success of their latest venture, a "flash campaign" called MoveOn.org. MoveOn.org is one of the leading supporters of the anti-war movement in America today.

Here's my take on Boyd, Blades, and MoveOn.org, from 1999: "Censure and Move On" site: Activism For Dummies

Hi David,

Here is a good link to expose the anti-war movement as really anti-Bush. http://www.legitgov.org/peaceprotests.html

I believe they operate in your neighborhood.

Thank you for all the excellent information... have forwarded on! I just love the fact that Martin "lefty" Sheen is now running ads promoting the "move on" organization. How will he ever get out of it?

MoveOn.org, though not a registered non-profit, is now able to offer their private contributors tax-deductible benefits when they make their donation through the San Francisco Foundation Community Initiative Fund (a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization) This is one of my pet peeves. As a 501(c)3 any organization is supposed to have most of it's fund go to charitable contributions. How the heck are they getting away with this. You are supposed to be limited in political affliliation and limit your lobby efforts to a specific cause and not party. There are a lot of 501)c)3 organizations stepping over the line on this. Can't something be done about it?
