Gov. Bob Riley and his staff have begun weekly Bible studies in his Capitol office, a move critics decry as a troubling display of religion in the halls of state power.
[snip]
But Larry Darby, Alabama director for American Atheists, said there is no way the classes can be truly voluntary as long as the governor is involved.
"It's a form of Christian terrorism," Darby said.

Oh, good grief.
Steve Glassroth of Montgomery, another plaintiff in the Ten Commandments lawsuit, said he doesn't have a problem with Bible studies at the Capitol as long as they are voluntary.
"This is not one of those in-your-face public things," he said.
Its quite telling when one of the people that was involved in the "Ten Commandments lawsuit" has no problem with these classes, but some head of an athiest society does. And when the guy throws out absurd phrases like "christian terrorism", he loses all support for his ridiculous cause.

Darby is a doofus.

This is good news. Prayer is needed. Riley has to face a Democratic legislature, and his predicessor was a Democrat.
Hey, long time no see!
To: Jael
"It's a form of Christian terrorism" Yes, this is true. Satan and his liberal demon-possessed friends are definitely being terrorized.

oops -- predicessor = predecessor

It's good knowing he can slip into Shelby's Senate seat should Shelby retire. He'd easily win.

If they initiated morning ablutions to the Sun, they would have been hailed as furthering the cause of "multiculturalism."

Didn't have any "trouble" like that in the White
House with President Clinton.
To: Princeliberty
Yes, we need more trouble like that, amen?

It seems a bit radical, doesn't it? Calling a guy having a Bible Study a Terrorist?
Not only that, it denigrates the memory of the poor innocent people who died at the hands of real terrorists.
No one is going to die because Bob Riley is having a Bible Study.

To liberals every Christian is a terrorist.

Hi TG! How are you!!
Can you believe this? I wonder if the local press will give it much attention?
Have you seen it covered in your area?
I wish people would get outraged about this kind of thing, and let people know that a guy having a Bible Study is not a Terrorist.

It did seem an evil kind of comment, didn't it?
I don't really understand people who are so misguided as to associate Christianity with Terrorism.
