I had heard that Estrada did do some work for Bush-Cheney 2000 team.(Maybe on Fox????)I thought it was stated that he was hired by Ted Olsen(the head of the 2000 team, whose wife Barbara Olsen, the author of the "Hell to Pay" book about Hillary who was killed on the 9-11-2001 Pentagon flight).
.......gee...any Freepers with web search skills out there(who might still be up)that could help with this????.... Please?????.......

I think that basically, Frist is setting the Senata agenda as Estrada, Estrada, Estrada, and that the GOP is going to keep that on the agenda until it is voted on.I want to see how Daschle spins this tomorrow. I'm betting he'll label Frist an obstructionist intent on preventing the Senate from focusing on important issues like the economy....

My take is that Frist and the GOP have ratcheded up the process. Tomorrow, when business starts, the Senate will be in session until it votes on Estrada. Maybe that will take one day, maybe that will take one week. But the general message to the DEM party from the GOP is "we are ready and determined to finish this, and finish this NOW." Tonight was a brief show of determination.

Something happened that caused them to smile...they were in a quorum, which means that the other senators were assumed to be there, even though the place was empty.
A Democrat could have asked for a roll call to verify, but no Democrat was there. So Frist proposed several things, all met "without objection." It'll be interesting to see what happens tomorrow.

I think he said that they won't call for another quorum call until tomorrow. Everyone left after that. The Pubs should be making quorum calls EVERY hour ... make the RATS be there 24/7 and the pubs earn their pay.
Guess I'm in a vindictive mood after all the shenanigans that the dems have pulled in the last 2 years. CRUCIFY THEM.

That's right, no quorum call necessary of no one objects. They just passed legislation while there were only two people home.

Thanks for your view on this...
Has there been great approval of Frist?
It seems he has a plan and will stick to it!
