O'Reilly bashes Pony Corporation for commercials geared at kids featuring porn stars

Bill O'Reilly points out tonight that the Pony Corporation (think ugly athletic shoes) is now pushing pornography on our kids through commercials featuring porn stars. The only stores that carry Pony merchandise are Modells, Foot Locker, and Sears.

Sheesh - O'Reilly had her on his show - twice! He called her a "slut", but he was practically drooling all over himself!

I'm a kid and if old people disapprove, you bet I'm going out this minute to buy pony shoes so I can put them on and buy a Ludacris CD. How many generations of kids have been doing this? I love O'Reilly but sometimes he's WAY over the top. Do you think buying these shoes will turn kids into porn stars? I doubt it.

The reason the linked Pony ad shows Pam Anderson is, according to O'Reilly, that the Pony Corp's parent company represents her (I hope I am remembering that fact right - I was so outraged listening to the show that I will apologize in advance to all of you if I am mistaken.)

It's not about turning kids into porn stars, that's ridiculous. It's about someone having the balls to stand up to corporations that encourage the further demoralization of youth in our society (you know, picking up where the public schools leave off each day...)

THAT'S why O'Reilly is respected and admired, and why anyone who cares about the damage being done to our kids on a daily basis watches his program.

There will always be outside influences we can't control, but you can be sure that any determined parent will do their best to put a stop to the garbage they CAN control.

I don't recall him calling her a slut- although perhaps in the context of her job or what people think of her. I saw one interview with her, and he was very nice and I kinda wondered why he had her on since he seemed rather sympathetic to her.

Nowadays all sorts of nonsense makes various brands in or out. I don't think these ads will matter much in the long run. And, unless they are baring too much in the ads, I don't see a whole lotta difference between Jenna Jameson or Brittany Spears in an ad, except that Jenna Jameson doesn't lie about what she does for a living.

Actually there has already been a TV commercial featuring porn stars. It was an incredibly bizarre infomercial for pills that will enlarge a certain body part (sorry, I don't remember the brand name). It featured Kim Chambers and The Hedgehog. The latter porn star was actually quite funny. But this infomercial had to have been the MOST BIZARRE commercial ever seen on the tube.

Mike Tyson's nasty behavior is and should be vilified. Porn stars hurt more people than he does. They should be shunned and barred from any and all decent venues - other than churches, where they might find out the truth.
