[history]
"Last weekend, across Europe and America, somewhere between 1 million and 2 million people marched against a war with Saddam Hussein's Iraq. All protests against war are ultimately ethical in nature, and Saturday's placard-wavers did not break with tradition: "Give Peace a Chance," "Make Tea, Not War," "Bush and Blair -- the Real War Criminals." These are statements of sentiment, not power politics, and the sentiment is, or is meant to be, a moral one.

Michael Kelly speaks the truth.
Thanks JH2.

Michael Kelly has said it so well:
"To march against the war is not to give peace a chance. It is to give tyranny a chance. It is to give the Iraqi nuke a chance. It is to give the next terrorist mass murder a chance. It is to march for the furtherance of evil instead of the vanquishing of evil.
This cannot be the moral position."

All these negative opinions must be why Sheen went on TV with commericals trying to get over their point.
They were discussing it on CNBC - two of them agreed the inspections are not working (one of them being a former UN inspector) - and they never work - only one guy dissented, and he was from one of the left-wing think tanks.

Quite welcome, friend.

They believe, as French President Jacques Chirac recently pontificated, that "war is always the worst answer." Is that is why the French cave. Better Vichy than oppose Nazi Germany?
How long before Islam overruns France?

Lefties love to call us pro-war, conveniently ignoring the horrors of the real tyrant. I think ANTI-TYRANNY could be worked into a poster or two for our rallies on March 1st.

Thanks for the ping, Tonk. Excellent analysis of the "Peace" movement. (Interesting to note, also, that many of the peaceful ones hurled rocks at police and broke shop windows along their marches. And the Baghdad bongo-thumpers were so busy bickering amongst themselves that they MISSED the rally last Satuday! What a hoot! "Peace," indeed.)

GWB and the little band of freedom fighters will disarm Saddam and free the Iraqis, very, very soon!
