Sharpton bid a nightmare for Democrats

The Rev. Al Sharpton's presidential bid is sending shudders through the Democrats' rank and file, who fear that his fiery, racial rhetoric could divide their party and lead to defeat in 2004. Almost 10 months before the presidential primary contests begin, the black civil rights activist is coming under surprisingly sharp attack from Democratic-leaning journals and party activists, who say his agenda is rooted in racial polarization that poses a "nightmarish" scenario for Democrats next year.

Racist Al hurts the dems another way. He was born dirty and he's gettin dirtier.

If they go after him, he will attack and not back down. This is why the dem candidates scratch their ass and mumble when asked about Sharpton

Interesting note; Moseley-Braun had one supporter at her recent press conference... HA!

Off topic a bit...

Your tagline: "May the Clintons live their remaining days in orange jumpsuits sharing the same 6 x 9 cell."

My suggestion: A 6 x 9 cell with a internet web-cam for logging on at 'pay-per-veiw' donation rates through the RNC website to see what the lovebirds are up to today.

"Sharpton has been a despicable, criminally racist blot on the American scene..."

"He was born dirty and he's gettin dirtier."

What finer recommendations could there be for fielding a candidate that speaks to the heart of Democrats everywhere?

REVEREND AL IS THE MAN, AND THIS IS HIS HOUR. GO, AL, GO!

Neal Boortz has already said that if Sharpton qualifies for Federal matching funds, he's contributing.

Here in GA, an open primary state, a *lot* of Republicans held their noses and took a Dem ballot last time around. We helped get rid of Jihad Cyndy McNinney by doing so.

Doing something similar in 2004 to upset a Dem applecart wouldn't be hard.

I'm beginning to think that the Dems have already determined that 2004 is a lost cause and probably will do little to counteract Sharpton. They'll just let him do his thing and when the dust settles blame the 2004 loss on him. That way they have justification for convincing minorities that without the "leadership" of the Clintons, Kennedys, Kerrys, Daschles, etc., they would be beaten down farther economically by the right wing conservatives

Oh I would like to believe that, but you know they are not going to go down without a fight and then will complain about voter disehfranchisement afterwards.

Look at this poll the St. Louis Post-Dispatch pulled after some Freeping!

Question of the day:

At this point, who would you like to be the Democratic presidential candidate next year?
Howard Dean 1%

Dick Gephardt 4%

John Kerry 2%

Joe Lieberman 2%

Carol Moseley-Braun 8%

Al Sharpton 80%

Surveys are unscientific and for entertainment only.
