It would be fun to see some "gangbanger" touch off a round from the big S&W while holding it upside down or "styling" his shooting from the horizontal as seen in the movies.

"I think guns are made to kill people."

You don't say.

I hope you're right. Their guns are too overpriced, no matter who owns them, but I would like to see them regain their sanity and support the people who buy their products again.

<< Those of us who live in big, urban centers have a different fear and a different take than some people who may live in different environments. >>

Of course all y'all do, Danny-Bubba, you stupid un-American, anti-Constitution, un-armed craphead puke!

Quit disarming crime's victims and see how quickly your self-imposed fear abates!

I've wanted a .454 Casul single action revolver for years. They pack about twice the power of a 44 magnum [really a 42.9 magnum].

For all of you out there who think they're NOT after your shotguns and hunting rifles, well, now they want to calssify a REVOLVER as an ASSAULT weapon!

Maybe it's time to email this creep from IL--all of us! Let him know he's full of $#it!

""It's hard for me to rationalize any particular need or purpose" for the 500 Magnum, said Rep. Danny Davis (D-Ill.). "I think guns are made to kill people. That's my opinion.""

Just goes to show how easy it is for an absolute idiot to be WRONG!

Maybe the pol should worry more about laws concerning buildng occupancy and chains on exit doors at that night club in Chicago where there were 14 deaths and multiple injuries last night .

Illinois has some of the most arcane deer hangun hunting laws in the nation. The cartridge case cannot exceed 1.4" long, must be 30 cal. or larger, and produce at least 500 ft/lbs of energy at the muzzle. That leaves you with a very limited choice of short range handgun cartridges.

If you own a single-shot T/C Contender or Encore, the more powerful and more accurate cartidges for these pistols are illegal. I had to buy an expensive T/C Encore custom barrel chambered in .30 Bellm to stay within the regs. It's good out to 200 yards.

Since nobody uses a pistol to hunt deer (yeah, right!), Mr. Davis would call it a long-range sniper assault pistol and declare it illegal.

"This is not the Wild West. It hasn't been for a long time."

The gungrabber has it absolutely correct, but for reasons she doesn't understand. Today's inner cities are actually considerably more violent than the cities in the "Wild West" ever were. The "Wild West" was largely a myth perpetuated by overzealous travel writers and dime novelists.

The Goldilocks gun banners. Some guns are too big, some guns are too small, none are just right.

When has not knowing what they are talking about ever got in the way of the proto-facists getting a case of verbal diareha? The real reason the proto-facists want this & every other gun banned is simply because they have a profound / religeous faith that the ordinary person on the street is a ignorant serf with the duty to s*ck d*ck & k*ss *ss . The last thing the politicians on the left will ever accept is the serf's having guns cause one day they find the serfs telling to go pack sand!

"Those of us who live in big, urban centers have a different fear and a different take than some people who may live in different environments."

... which is why a nationwide ban is being proposed here. They're already banned in Chicago, it's a handgun. But somebody who owns one in, say, Colorado is still enough of a risk that they can't stand to allow such ownership.

Well, perhaps you could relieve my lack of understanding? Maybe you could start with Project Exile and the definition of the word 'infringed'?

New owners since the company sold us out. These new owners have a different view of the 2nd Amendment, or so I have read/heard.

When that other gun group actually stops gun control, that's when I'll pay attention to it. Right now, that other gun group is useless.
