This is so swarmy, and pathetic and at the same time, so true to form. These back room liberals CANNOT make it in the normal marketplace, lol, so they HAVE to start from scratch and come up with the cash to fun their own propaganda. They aren't about truth, they are about STOPPING the TRUTH. Which is why, of course, this project will fail. But let um spend the money on getting a talk show for al, on printing posters for ANY group that will protest (ANSWER, PEOPLE FOR THE AMERICAN WAY- oh geeez, there's a good one, lol, NAMBLA, Lesbians Incorporated, whatever), etc. Desparation can be comical when it is the leftist flailing around.
Rush, Sean, Michael Savage or Reagan, Neil Boortz, etc, etc, plus the entire Fox News Cable TV network have the once snug symbiotic relationship between the leftists and the mainstream in a flux of despair. Good!

I never thought he was funny. I really don't see him being accepted as a talk radio personality by the public much less his own kind.

THE ONLY YHING WORSE THAN A NON NEWS STORY BEING POSTED AS NEWSWORTHY IS IT BEING posted in all caps.
Is all caps really needed ? Drudge does this kinda thing every sunday to piump his show.

What I don't get is why "liberal money donors," whoever they are, think that their money is going to get anyone on the air even if they do create a "network." That's the gag! They won't spend their money, they'll find a way to spend YOURS! Liberals always do!

You mean National Palestinian Radio?
To: AdA$tra
I remember "Franken and Davis" on SNL, so many years ago. I didn't think that they were funny then, and I've never thought that Al Franken as a solo act was funny, or even the least bit entertaining. I've never understood why some people (especially leftists) have ever thought that he (or Bill Mahr, for that matter) were funny.
Sort of like an episode of South Park, where they "quoted" Whoopie Goldberg's act... "Republicans are mean." "Republicans Suck!" (audience laughter).

Go for it! We'll put Dennis Miller, James Woods, and Ron Silver opposite Franken and see who does better with political intelligence. Better yet, just let Rush and Hannity take care of that fool.

REPORT: LIBERAL MONEY DONORS DESIRE TALKRADIO NETWORK Soon to go the way of Slate, Salon, George, Rosie and other Lib efforts.
Before they go for a radio network they should examine the RED vs. Blue map of the 2000 election.
I have never been able to figure how a liberal radio talk show host could make issues like why Estrada is not a good Hispanic entertaining.

That was good.
Thing about it, they just don't get it. They think their word just isn't getting out. HA HA! It is. It is getting out and that's the problem.

Days or weeks? Shows! Eight of them. A week and a half, or two months. It's up to them.

Hey, Taildragger!
I agree let them keep trying and I will keep laughing. I think this is what Bill Klinton should do. He has the answers to everything. Maybe him and Jimmah could do a two man show. You know like Hannity and Colmes.

Thing is, liberals don't listen to talk radio And why should they? Radios don't come with a remote control so the libs have never been shown how to use one.

Liberal Radio Is Planned by Rich Group of Democrats
By JIM RUTENBERG
group of wealthy Democratic donors is planning to start a liberal radio network to counterbalance the conservative tenor of radio programs like "The Rush Limbaugh Show."
The group, led by Sheldon and Anita Drobny, venture capitalists from Chicago who have been major campaign donors for Bill Clinton and Al Gore, is in talks with Al Franken, the comedian and author of "Rush Limbaugh Is a Big Fat Idiot." It hopes to enlist other well-known entertainers with a liberal point of view for a 14-hour, daily slate of commercial programs that would heavily rely on comedy and political satire.

I remember "Franken and Davis" on SNL, so many years ago. I do too. The funniest skit they ever did was during the Iran Hostage Crisis. They had Tom Davis dressed up as Ayatollah Khomeini and Franken as his sidekick Bani-Sadr and they were doing Johnny Carson's Carnak the Magnificent schtick with Khomeini wearing the big turban and Bani-Sadr doing the Ed McMahon thing laughing uproariously at every joke. Here was a snippet:
Khomeini (as Carson): "Ghotzbadeh" (Iran's foreign minister whose name was pronounced like "Goats By Day")
Khomeini opens envelope, pauses and scowls at the audience while reading the card: "What do you do if you can't get women by night?"
This was live television, the hostage crisis was still new and very serious and, even though the jokes were some of the best these two had ever written - IT BOMBED. I guarantee you'll never see it on SNL re-runs because the audience found it seriously unfunny - which made it even more hilarious.
