Official Tinfoil Hat on, maam.....

Lets see how this goes:

1) Estrada worked in the Clinton Justice Department;

2) As a conservative, he was probably asked to write memos which were in opposition to views to be held by the Justice Department in order for the JD to be ready to deflect those views in court;

3) Hillary! is quite aware of the existance of memos which are, in all probability, in opposition to Roe v. Wade, Affirmative Action and, for all we know, in agreement with Dred Scott;

4) If the White House releases the memos, selected parts can be released out of context (leaked?) to show that Mr. Estrada is "out of tough with the mainstream"; and

5) The White House will be put on the defensive trying to explain why Mr. Estrada is so whacked out.

Tinfoil hat off......Actually the above is not too far of a stretch. Having a Senator (Hillary!) who has probably ordered a judicial candidate to write memos which, if released, would be the equivalent of an arrow through the heart makes me very suspicious of the motives. If the Dems win and the memos are released to public distain, the Pubbies are toast. Period

It is not tin foil hat IMO!

I believe you are correct! And would also bet she has those memos but won't show them because that would be obtaining them by illegal means.

Also found out he was in the Solicitor General's office during the Paula Jones lawsuit arguments to the SCOTUS.

Why not ask Hillary to reveal her written recommendations while working on the articles of impeachment for Nixon/Watergate. She wrote that Nixon should NOT be entitled to legal representation. Her boss revealed her incompetence in a book he wrote. Can anyone remember the title?

That's what I asked yesterday.

I don't believe these memos are of the "This is what I believe..." type. Aren't they asked to write position papers based on interpretations of law or precedent, or just take opposing views in order to anticipate arguments?

It would be very easy to take one of those memos out of context and pass them off as Estrada's personal views.
