I think the USSS went to SCOTUS after Estrada left. I know there were a whole group of cases and the DOJ lost all but one or two on Executive privilege.

Last night Charles Ruff was brought up in the dialogue with Hatch but I didn't pay much attention to it at the time. Now I would like to know why Ruff was mentioned since he was the WH Counsel who worked closed with the Solicitor General.

I also would try Feingold! He was big on the President at least getting a vote on his nominees.

Feingold is a waste. He and Herb Kohl held a little press conference to explain why they could not vote for Estrada. The media here is very liberal and they will not be held accountable. Then again, it never hurts to try.

The Republicans do not want to invoke cloture, they do not want to set a precedent which would be effectively 60 votes needed for approval for a judicial nominee.

The Dems however are continuing precedent by doing whatever they can to restrict the rights of minorities.

In Indiana Bayh says he is conservative (when he is on home turf) but follows the most liberal Rats when he's in Washington. Wants their money and support for his future. Keep following in that past, he's in trouble here in IN. Have six friends who have left "the party" this past year. Four generational rats. If Al divides Gary and Indy's, it's bye bye Bayh for sure. Oh please God!
