Al Qaeda's latest threat of terrorist attacks is focused on operations in three areas: the continental United States, the Persian Gulf region or Southeast Asia, according to intelligence officials.

Intelligence from both the FBI and CIA indicates that al Qaeda is preparing to conduct a major attack that will cause mass casualties, like the September 11 attacks, according to officials.

I think unfortunately these attacks are indeed very likely and these continuing drip-drip news reports are deliberate to prepare us psychologically.

If your following the series 24, you know the President has told the public all they 'need' to know due to the fact there was not enough time to evacuate LA and causing panic when the nuke may be removed, would kill more than not. So....Keifer did say he gets the stories from everyday news.

I am afraid that you may be right, that even if the gov knows the city to be attacked, trying to evacuate it is just not feasible. You mentioned LA, the place would just become a huge parking lot, with everyone watching the nuke from their cars, I think that people would have a better chance of surviving at home, where they may have some supplies.

Me too because my three sisters are there and I have been holding my breath since China infilitrated Long Beach.My one sis lives Anaheim minutes from Disney, my niece works at Disney and my other two Pasadena and Ventura, them I feel are safe.
