Pre recorded updates 917-387-8865
IMPORTANT NOTE: The above number is only a recording, you will not be able to speak to anyone through it. The recording can be updated from any remote location and so it will be updated constantly, as necessary to provide the latest information on where the rally will be held. Because of the recording limit of 20 seconds the information will be up to the point giving the location of where we are throughout the day. The number is to an old pager voicemailbox. The pager has been disabled, please DO NOT leave messages. NO, it will not record your number. NO, it is not toll free from outside NYC. Some people objected to te auto responder e-mail. That has been removed. The other thread was pulled to allow time for the necessary changes.
Dutchy and NYC GOP Chick are the main organizers of the event and are designing additional fliers for the event in addition to the above flier. Firebrand is getting the appropriate permits for the rally and we will not know details of where we will be able to gather until close to the rally date. I AM NOT the organizer of this rally, just giving a hand.
Pings on other ping lists appreciated

Actually if you took your head out of your a$$ you would realize it would be a lot more beneficial for anyone in control who has oil interests to make a deal, sign a contract or lift the sanctions with Iraq rather than go to war. That's the funny and hypocritcal thing about people like yourself; you'd rather listen to someone who says what you want to hear and does what is popular rather then have somone tell the truth and do the right thing. Did anyone watch Meet the Press yesterday and watch Albright cringe under the truths' Russert put before her when he pointed out the adminstration she worked for knew everything but did nothing? Funny, all Albright did was talk about "what a serious issue N Korea is" yet on CNN I see her toasting champagne with Kim IL Young or whatever the hell his name is!

You're welcome. I went to Wal-Mart and got my Yellow Ribbon this morning. Put some on my car antenna. Made one for my T-shirt, I put my American flag rinestone pin with it.

Thanks for the update. I am persisting with the NYPD but am having trouble getting them to respond. This has never happened before. It could be that they didn't know until now where the antiwar rally would be. In any case, we will have our rally. I will inform them of where we will be, and then they can move us if they so choose.

"I am persisting with the NYPD but am having trouble getting them to respond."
Maybe you should have told them you were calling for that phony presidential candidate al "sharpy" sharpton (aka fat al). I'm sure they would have fallen all over themselves in order to give you a permit.

Let me turn that argument around; do you feel two nations with a long history of capitulation like France and Germany really want peace or want their oil interests and other agreements protected?

I Really Like this guy who is making signs, he's got the right idea. So I wrote to the articles author and obtained this information which I now share with you.
``Liberate Iraq'' signs: Call 651-890-3391, or e-mail liberateiraqsign@yahoo.com. $5 donation requested per sign.
To: Samurai_Jack
Will they make other signs?
I have "God Bless Pres. Bush" "France-Germany Kiss my Butt" "Sarandon Supports Terrorists" and "A.N.S.W.E.R.- Enemy of America!" in mind for this weekend.
Obviously I'll pay all costs.

Interesting, I just called the gentleman and he has started a phenomenon. People are calling him up from all over the country asking for signs. If you send him a check and pay for the shipping he will send it to you for a donation of $5.00.
He is not in the business of making signs. He is just a patriot who goes around distributing these signs. We chatted for a little while and he is a veteran of vietnam and the gulf war. He has seen first hand the Evil of Saddam Hussein as some iraqi friends of his were murdered because their relatives had left that country to live in America.
He said that he had heard that he was very popular on the freerepublic web site, and that he dropped in to look at the thread. The telephone number I left above seems to be his private residence so watch out how you use it. Perhaps the Administrator might edit the phone number out for me so that it doesnt get abused.
If you want to have signs made up you can go to your local print shop and have some signs printed up for maybe 5 bucks a piece. He managed to get the price down to 4 bucks by ordering quantities of a thousand.
Or you can send this gentleman a check for five dollars, let him give that sign to a police officer or a firefighter in the Twin Cities Area. I have alot of admiration for this gentleman.

I just came back from my printer whom I use for political campaigns and he gave me a price of $300 for 100 two color posters 22x17 inches. Of course the price is likely to come down with larger quantities.
I am mulling over whether the expense is worth it for signs that may be obsolete in two weeks.
I may make my own sign using 8.5x11 paper, glue and poster board from staples.
