Raleigh area Freepers, heres your chance to do something for your country. Dont be a FINO (Freeper In Name Only) come out to the rally and show our President and Military that you stand behind them.
These pacifists would like the world to think THEY are the majority. Lets out number them and show them WERE MAD AS HE!! And Were Not Gonna Take It Anymore!
WHERE:
Capital Bldg. Grounds Downtown Raleigh
WHEN:
February 15, Saturday from 12-2
We will begin assembling at 11:30 and stay till it's over.
I have applied for a permit to hold a Patriotic/Support Our Troops rally on the capital grounds in downtown Raleigh. The address is: 1 E. Edenton Street, Raleigh, NC 27699.
Map can be found at: here.
A map of areas to park is available here. If I remember right the parking lots are usually free on the weekends. There is also on street parking available, bring quarters to feed the meters for these.
If you dont live in or near Raleigh there are other organized events for this day in our state. You can find more information about the other NC war protests here.
The peaceniks are saying they will have 10,000 protesters, not likely. Let's show them by having MORE than them.
I will be posting some possible sign ideas within the thread so keep checking back for updated info throughout next week. If anyone has a bullhorn, bring it please.
If you are involved in any local conservative groups or military organizations that would like to come and help us out, spread the word. You don't have to be a FReeper to join in, just a Patriot that loves the USA and wants to see our freedom protected from tyrannical terrorists. E-mail your family and friends and get them to come with you. Call and/or e-mail Jerry Agar so we can get some publicity for this event. Constitution Day and I can't do this alone WE NEED YOUR HELP!
I just gave a phone interview to the Raleigh News and Observer wanting to know why our group was having the rally on Sat. They are writing a piece in tomorrow's paper about both rallys. For those of you that don't get the paper or that live in another part of the state the URL is http://www.news-observer.com/
I told her about FR and asked that she put the web address in the article, she said she would try. I told her that I didn't have a clue how many people would be there but NC FREEPERS we need your help. We need a good turn out for this.
There will be newspaper and TV coverage for this event. Lets have a HUGE turnout people. Even if you can only come for 30 mins, that's fine or just drive by in your car and honk to give us support. All help is appreciated. Yes rain is predicted for Sat. SO WHAT...we won't melt. The good news is that it's supposed to be 60 degrees so at least it won't be cold.
The reporter told me that there is also a march taking place from the NC State campus up Hillsboro St., right past us, to the Capital grounds. I wasn't aware of this but I will try to find out further information.
We will have a blast guys. I can't wait to see everyone there.

CD
I use MS Publisher and make my own. I use the poster publication and re-size it to 24 X 24.
I just bought some clear laminate on a roll today at WalMart to cover it. It's located with the contact paper. I'm mounting mine on foamboard and I go to Home Depot and get free 5 gal size paint stir sticks for handles. I've done this before...LOL.

Promises from friends to show up will disappear in bad weather.
So stay after people, right until the end. This could be a defining moment for NC Freepers.
Kudos to MKM. She is hitting all the right buttons.
I can't be there because of GOP commitments, but I would drive the couple of hours to join you if it weren't for that. Best of luck, best wishes, and I'll look forward to a report after the event.
WE
Oh, and just for clarification I NEVER said that we were nervous. Once again the N & O messes it up, they've done it to me so many times in the past I expected it. I did choose my words very carefully and for the most part I thought the article was ok. I hate being called a PRO-WAR rally, I never said that either.

My husband says "Oh Great, you're in the news again. Can I tell people at work that your name is Kathy when they ask today?" LOL
