PLEEEASE Excuse me while I barf - I just saw that Susan Sarandon clip "what did Iraq do to us?" Please forgive my rather brutal analogy, but she evokes 'battered wife' syndrome. Or even more, 'Stockholm Syndrome', where someone held captive starts to sympathize, and even love his or her captors.
The fact that she would, with knees in full jerk, give the benefit of the doubt to a heartless monster like Saddam Hussein rather than a kind, fair, honest man like President Bush is unforgivable and disgusting beyond words.

We have people on the ground who can tell us what the response of the Iraqi army was, which will help us when we do go in. Interesting take. If that's the case, I'm guessing also that they were able to distinguish Saddam from his doubles. Only the real one of "him" would be watching with his generals.
If, as I suspect, we have a very high altitude, stealthy UAV operating over Baghdad, then it's probably locked on target.....

Yep ... and what President Bush will do in the speech is set a firm timeline as to when the U.S. will act militarily ... unless Iraq complies completely. This time line will probably be 72 or 96 hours ... no more. Well ... my unfailing prognosis came up short on this one ... haven't been wrong since I picked the Raiders to win the Super Bowl. Two weeks ago ... ;o)

I don't mean to sound racist, but I don't think it matters when we attack- just about every day is part of some sort of Muslim/arab holiday/holy day.

Maybe we should chute-drop all the Gitmo housed members of the Bin Laden boys choir to a location outside Baghdad in a Army-Ranger like simulated operation to see what Hussein's intent and capabilities are. If there's a overwhelming counter-assault of gas or germs, we lay a big bang smackdown on every palace and underground facility in the place. Let the scumbag Al Qaida/Taliban Sons of Islam lead the way - dressed in Ranger battle garb. If these guys have nasty weapons, they'll use them from the git-go.

I just don't get the Bush style.
Why did he come out and speak? We are looking like bluffers, clinging to the unrealistic hope of Hussein being intimidated into leaving on his own, and waiting for another UN resolution.
We should withdraw 1/2 our troops and now (actually we should've started 12-15 months ago) start bombing the crap out of all the presidential palaces, and keep bombing them for weeks.
And should keep our troops as far away from Iraq as possible -- at some neighboring airfields and on the carriers. And never set foot in the f-ing place.
If another maniac takes over from Hussein, and starts fooling around with WMD, then we strike again.
That's what you do if you are serious, and putting America first.

I figured but I didn't realize they'd have it up so quickly. Good I have to have my hubby watch it.

something I do when emailing the Whitehouse is to state it all in my subject line. (Right Behind You Mr. President or Good Job Sir).
Figure maybe it is "looked at" more that way.
