7:53 AM CST - over California - 4 LH Elevon hydraulic return line off scale low. [Wires for these measurements go through wheel well.] Same time: several temps in LH MLG wheel well went up 20-30 degrees over 5 minutes .

mid fuselage bond-line temp showed unusual rise 60 degrees in 5 minutes. R side rose 15 degrees in 5 minutes (normal).

7:58 over NM. (Roll Trim increased indicating drag on left side of vehicle). Also lost LMG tire press and temp measurements at this time. Loss was staggered, so tire did not blow.

7:59 Roll trim increases further. FCS [flight control system] countering by commanding vehicle to roll right. Soon after, all communication was lost.

Might be able to retrieve another 32 seconds of data from ground computer systems.

Left wing is hotter, wheel well is going on the blink, and there was some sort of drag pulling the vehicle to the left...wierd. Sounds to me like the computer may have overcorrected...

I'm cable deprived. Are they finally admitting heat? Yesterday all they kept saying was "Off chart low" or some such, meaning the reading simply stopped.

Sounds as though something started while the mission was over CA.

NASA discussing; have written statement of astonomer observer, and are correlating his observations with the measurements and observations from mission control.

Not only look at tile but also at flight control -- on automatic pilot so that would be computers

They said left wing/fuselage bond-line temperature (where the wing joins the fuselage?) increased 60 degrees, temperature inside fuselage stayed constant, right side temperature only increased (normal) 15 degrees...
