"John McCain is getting ready to change sides..."

No more so than he already has.

I think only Souter showed up for State of the Union after the impeachment. Anyone help me out here? Follow the post you responded to and then that post etc.

Watching the speech again on CSPAN and watching them panning the Rats, I knew there was something comedic that they reminded me of and I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Now I know. Did y'all see the 3rd Police Academy movie? Remember when they were having their party and all the Lasard Academy cadets were partying and having a great time, then they would cut to the other academy's cadets and they were all sitting there stiff as statues. No humor, no animation, no soul. In the movie it was hilarious. The effect is the same.

Not sure if there is a pecking order but I would assume the big wigs like The Minority Leaders would be up front for camera face time

Britt Humes mentioned that Shelia Jackson Lee had been there since 5:30 pm just so she could get an isle seat

But Hillary and Joe walk in and get up front ..

All I know for certain is Souter was
the one Justice who attended last year
(this according to Susan Swain tonight
on C-Span),

AND...

the Justice I saw this time was NOT
Souter, but it was Stephen Breyer, a
Clinton appointee. His other pick was
Ruth Bader Ginzburg.

No doubt his quote would hav been something like

"The cigar I prize is not Monica's gift to me, it's my gift to myself"

It will almost certainly be replayed on C-Span.

I hope they replay it tonight when I am home.....instead of during the day....

By the Way -- Patty Murray?! Did anyone else see this woman in her eggplant pantsuit? What's her deal??

That's because her intellect compares to that of an eggplant, and the eggplant wins.
