CAPTION THIS PHOTO - SUSAN SARANDON'S national antiwar media blitz to air seconds before President George Bush addresses the nation in his State Of The Union Address.
President Bush will address the nation on Tuesday, 28 January at 8 P.M.
Sarandon's timing of her 30-Second meida blitz just seconds before the President presents his cause in the war against terrorism is a desparate grasp at reaching the hearts and minds of many Americans and a direct attempt at painting the President as a "War Monger."
She is backed by many of her influential colleagues in Hollywood - including a former "close" ally Sean Penn.
Sean, you may recall, has already paid his tribute to their cause by his recent visit to Baghdad and Iraq.

Dubai GULF NEWS.com: Washington. "VOICES OF SANITY ECHO IN HEART OF AMERICA" -Opinion Commentary by Dr. James J. Zogby (OPINION COMMENTARY SNIPPET and AUTHOR PROFILE: "Finally, this growing national sentiment is apparently having an impact on the Democratic challengers as well. Governor Howard Dean has been quite vigorous in promoting his anti-war credentials, using it to his advantage. And last week, Senator John Kerry, a leading Democratic contender who voted in favour of the Bush administration pro-war resolution in the Senate, has begun to raise "grave questions" about the dangers of a unilateral strike against Iraq. A note: what impressed Kerry was a television network sponsored focus group poll which showed the degree to which his position effectively resonated with U.S. opinion on the issue of war." ..."The writer, president of the Arab American Institute and a Democratic political lobbyist, hosts the weekly radio and television programme A Capital View on the Arab Network of America which is also aired live in the Middle East on MBC. He also writes a weekly column that appears regularly in Gulf News.")(012703)
Dubai GULF NEWS.com: "COMMENT: "MORE AMERICANS SPEAK OUT AGAINST AGGRESSION" by Ray Hanania (COMMENT SNIPPET: "Most recently, the Chicago City Council, not known for their independence or vision, recently approved a resolution denouncing the war on Iraq. The most compelling arguments came from one of its sponsors, Chicago Alderman Richard Mell. Mell happens to be the father-in-law of Illinois' new governor, Rod Blagojevich. Blagojevich received significant support as the Democrat from Arab American voters and contributors during his election. And the Chicago City Council consists mostly of Democrats. Mell is a Democrat as is Blagojevich.") (012303)

The Americans should know exactly that Islam is a religion of peace, justice, and charity. "Thanks to the media, Americans think that Muslims are a bunch of terrorists which really justifies the brutal treatment of Israel to the innocent Palestinians." He also stressed the importance of Arabs to take a greater role in order to correct the image of Islam in the United States.") (012103)

THE LIVE WIRE: "POWELL'S SMOKING GUNS BLOW LIBERALS AWAY" -Commentary by Gregory J. Rummo (COMMENTARY SNIPPET: "But Saddam is a terrorist who has proven he will kill anyone including his own people to stay in power. Liberals are often confused when the rule of law conflicts with their self-anointed agendas. When you heap on the added ugliness of a war, they simply don't have the stomach to deal with it. Now is not the time for confused thinking. Please get out of the way.") (012203)

The group, the People's Mujahedin Organization of Iran, also known as the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK), claims to have thousands of armed members based in military camps in Iraq, financed and equipped by Saddam Hussein.) FREE CONGRESS.org - THE FREE CONGRESS FOUNDATION - Notable News: "ONE WHO DARES CALL IT 'TREASON'" -Commentary by Paul M. Weyrich (COMMENTARY SNIPPET: "So how does Rep. Edolphus Towns (D-NY) justify holding a reception for the Mujahedin-e Kalq? The U.S. State Department, since 1994, has listed this group as one of the most dangerous terrorist groups in the world. The State Department says that this Marxist-Muslim group has killed many Americans and had blown up a number of U.S. facilities in Iran. This group participated in the seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran in 1979. This group had a falling out with the Ayatollah Khomeni, according to The Washington Times, so the group fled to Iraq and now is funded by Saddam Hussein. The group helped Hussein fight the Kurds in the North of Iraq when chemical weapons were used.") (112502)
