Longtime Freeper, YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS will be having some delicate spinal surgery performed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2003 at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas. She has requested prayer support from her many friends here at FreeRepublic.

She wanted me to ask that no cards or flowers be sent. Instead, if you feel so moved, please donate to Free Republic or to some effort in support of President Bush's moves in the War on Terrorism. She also stated that there is a critical need for blood these days, so donating blood in her name would also be something she'd be grateful for.

Dallas and local Texas Freepers have her permission (and mine!) to contact me for particulars in freepmail.

Our Father,

We ask that you will intercede in the entire situation of Yellow Rose of Texas's past vulnerability to infections following surgery. We ask that you will cause all of the antibiotics which she takes to be 100% effective. We ask that all wound care be meticulous and sterile.

We continue to ask that her body be prepared for the delicate spinal surgery which must take place, and that it will take place at the proper time when her body is the strongest and best prepared to handle it, and according to your own timing for her. Overshadow all docs and professional health care staff handling her case. Seal her in the love of her friends who do ask that all possible blessings of health may be bestowed on her in this hour and in the days to come. Surround her family with comfort angels. We ask that you will stop any and all opposition to her being able to pursue the Divine Plan that you have for her life.

She is doing QUITE well. So much so that the staff is stunned at how quickly she is bouncing back from her ordeal today.

It's called the power of prayer.
And they say there are no more miracles. HAH!

Thanks for the updates.

She told me that nurses are actually grabbing other nurses and bringing them to meet their patient with the amazing recuperative powers!

This reminds me of the woman in Chapter 5 of Mark, who was healed merely by touching His robes. It strikes me that we're all like that lady -- we reach out for healing, and in His mercy, he heals us. God is very good.

Yellow Rose, please take care of yourself. I'm keeping you in my prayers.
