Prayer Thread for longtime Freeper YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS

Longtime Freeper, YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS will be having some delicate spinal surgery performed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2003 at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas. She has requested prayer support from her many friends here at FreeRepublic.

She wanted me to ask that no cards or flowers be sent. Instead, if you feel so moved, please donate to Free Republic or to some effort in support of President Bush's moves in the War on Terrorism. She also stated that there is a critical need for blood these days, so donating blood in her name would also be something she'd be grateful for.

Dallas and local Texas Freepers have her permission (and mine!) to contact me for particulars in freepmail.

I will get there, save those prayers for Rose.

I am in a good rehab program and can now walk just over 1/2 a mile a day. The biggest change for me has been my outlook. No matter how DUed my day is . . . it is still a great day because I am still here to enjoy it.

BTW, for those who would like to know, Sneakypete underwent emergence surgery last week. He was told that another hour's delay may have been fatal.
