Humane Humanity

"Humane Humanity" speaks of the profound value of all human life.  The text is gentle and images impactful:

"Over the years, humanity has made terrible mistakes.  People were treated as less than human, even killed because they were a different skin color, a different faith, because they were unknown, unplanned and helpless.

But over time, we are slowing learning that we are all God's children, created in his image.  And to disregard the value of human life, whether through hate or indifference...is wrong.

That all human creation regardless of race, religion, abilities or stage of human life, has an inalienable right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  A right to love and be loved.

As Americans, let's cherish the sanctity of human life, because we know how it feels when others treat us as less than human."

(End Tag):  Life.  Respect it.  Protect it.

This commercial is ideal to air anytime, but particularly around the anniversary of 9/11 by Right to Life groups nationwide.  The images feature unborn and newborn babies, families, people of color and different faiths, handicapped, elderly, etc.. and ends with a powerful 9/11 image.

Respectfully, wrong, Peggy. Abortions are not performed on children. They are committed. Otherwise, we would be saying that "al Qaeda performed murder on 3,000 Americans."

Awesome article. Peggy Noonan is so much better in print than she is on TV.

No party can long endure, or could possibly flourish, with the unfettered killing of young humans as the thing that holds it together. And so a prediction on this grim anniversary: Someday years from now we will see abortion's final victim, and it will turn out to be the once-great Democratic Party, which was left at the end deformed, bloody and desperately trying to kick away from death, but unable to save itself.

The democrats have ceased to stand for anything except treason, power and money to the corrupt lawyer industry, and murdering third trimester babies.

Let their demise be slow and excruciating, over the course of many, many years of inexorable decline.

Abortion and sexual perversion. Those are the great motivating and clarifying ideas of the modern Democrat Party. That's what they've been reduced to.

a very prophetic article. It is not Republicans against Democrats, it is good against evil, not that Republican are good or democrats bad (the party maybe bad but some democrats are just ignorant). It is spiritual!!!!!!

From Peggy's mouth to God's ear. Let us hope that the United States destroys the Democratic Party before the Democratic Party destroys the United States.

Wake up GOP and Christians!

Overturning Roe v. Wade is not the correct tact to defeating abortion. Any legislation should be aimed at gaining even-handed counseling for those women and men considering abortion. This counseling would make the woman and the prospective father aware of the emotional and physical consequences of abortion as well as alternatives. An abortion doctor has an obvious conflict of interest and this would balance this with alternatives such as adoption and information regarding the scientifically established emotional and physical ramifications of abortion. This is the best tact against abortion. It is unassailable by pro-choice groups. While the true victim is the unborn child, such an approach addresses the pro-choice established victim- the woman. Changing hearts is key to victory against abortion and such a law can help change hearts without arousing a severe backlash from the pro-choice groups. Roe v. Wade will become superfluous with this type of approach.

...I hope the photos help the innocent who are misled by the medical people. I used to work in a pro-life counseling center. We showed videos to women while they waited for their test. (Good tests used to take a long time.) Many women and girls told me that they never realized how much was already happening inside them. For that reason the new technology will be a blessing. But I have little hope for the thousands of teachers, nurses, doctors, social workers, and government officials who have hearts harder than flint about the unborn.

It is no good, we know it, it is avoidable, there are options, such as hundreds of thousands if not millions of Americans eager to adopt.

Just so! Bravo, Peggy!

it should have been done politically, not judicially. That it was not, that a huge and radical change in law was forced on the entire country by black-robed fiat, caused avoidable and continuing unrest. It has contributed more than any decision in my lifetime to the national breakdown of faith in our institutions.

Ping!
