We need to tighten our own belts here! Yeah...tell that to the INS.
I'm throughly convinced that its going to take another "big one" with the destruction and casualty level greater than or equal to 9/11 for the powers that be in this country to start showing some common sense, backbone, and indignation to all those promoting tolerance of Islamic terrorism and anti-Americanism. This "post-9/11" world has been a joke. We have a Department of Homeland Security...(BFD); we take our shoes off and see old ladies being cavity searched at airports; we literally still have open borders where an uncontrolled amount of ILLEGAL ALIENS invade our country, trash/rape/pillage/ it; put a strain on our "compassionate" welfare system, can get social security, and don't pay any god--mn taxes!; worst of all...we live amoung a society of people who claim to be Americans, but really don't give a shit about this country, and couldn't care less to see it degrade to a diversified/socialist/tolerant third world hell-hole. I'd hate to say it...(and I don't mean to be sadistic) but the only thing I see now that will turn this feminized, no-nads, tolerant of anything and everything country will be more death and destruction...when people start to see their loved ones jumping from buildings, dying in a nuclear blast, or picking the scabs of their sores from smallpox...THATS when people will start giving a shit...because up till now...its been ridiculous.
Over and out

". This would have been worrisome 100 years ago. Now it's a trip to the doctor's office." Modern medicine can do only so much.
This is more serious (if it actually happened) than it might appear on the surface.
There have been deaths as recently as December, 2002 in N.Y.C. of a man who contracted Bubonic and consequently died from it.
The major outbreaks of it have been on the Navajo Indian Reservations in New Mexico where it was transmitted from the fleas of field mice.
It's not something to laugh about.

Plague isn't that bad ..... now if they had smallpox or HIV or some other nasty viral stuff I'd get worried.

Fox TV now says 35 vials are missing. Depending on the size of the vials, that does seem like a lot. I wonder if they plan to infect cattle herds or farm animals in an attempt to destroy that sector of the economy?

It can be harvested from rodents!

You know, if that isn't already being done with all vials of anything dangerous, but a 10:00 DVD would set off the likes of Fort Knox, there is something seriously stupid going on in the world.

I am so relieved that it is a strain that cannot be weaponized. I would hate to be killed by one of those strains. I prefer a death by non weaponized pathogens.
Question though....If you hurl a rat or squirel at someone with a slingshot, is that weaponized Bubonic or Junta? If I just take it to a gradeschool for the kids to show and tell, is that the non-weaponized form or the weaponized form?

New Mexico, Bill Richardson and the Korean talks, Arizona, Janet Napolitano, sees nothing wrong with allowing illegals to cross the borders.............hmmm. Okay, it's a tinfoil type thought, that's all.
