While there might be a few decent folks among these immigrants they'll have to prove themselves first just as every other wave of immigrants has in the past.

Country of origin is an indicator as to whether an individual is an Al-Queda symphathizer or member. It's just not a guarantor. If it is not an indicator, then a random individual from Japan or Lithuania is equally likely to be an Al-Queda member or supporter as a random individual from Somalia or Yemen. I find that difficult to believe.

No, though I have proof that they are a burden on Lewiston (half are on welfare). Still, you are not going to seriously dispute that Somali immigrants are substantially more likely to support Al-Queda that, let's say, Lithuanian immigrants. We need a more rational view of this kind of immigration, much like Israel has. I don't believe Sharon would welcome this bunch. We should follow his example.

I already gave my position on the WCC- I referred to them as "an odious lot".

We could give them their choice. Like, Kalifornia has done with some of its welfare deadbeats, by paying their one time moving expense to Nevada (up to $3000). Only, we could make it, say, Canada!

I doubt if our Canadian freepers would appreciate it, but let's define who can stay and who goes.

When you're talking welfare, does that include food stamps, medical assistance, heating assistance, Social Security (old age and disability)? When you're talking crime, are you talking about felonies, misdemeanors (see, here, one can be charged as an habitual criminal if a person has three misdemeanor convictions in five years), municipal violations? How about drunk driving (#5 and up is a felony in Wisconsin)? Possession of drugs? Or do they all go to Canada?

I believe its church groups that are behind the resettlements. I'd be interested in knowing more about the churchs involved and why their compassion doesn't extend to the poor residents of Lewiston who have to foot the bill for these people.
