Should we automatically take the opposite position, on any issue imaginable, from the one Hale takes? What if Hale is opposed, for example, to Marxism? Must I now support Marxism, if only to avoid a view similar to that of Hale?

Isn't it better to ignore the likes of Hale, and consider each issue on its own merits? I did exactly that with this one, and concluded that America needs less, not more, immigration from Somalia. I didn't need Hale's help in arriving at such a conclusion, and I am not going to throw my own conclusion away just because Matt Hale might happen to take a similar view.

You can have the opinion that immigration from ANYWHERE is bad (although many here would have no issue with a sudden surge in blonde haired/blue eyed immigrants). Supporting Hale's rally is another thing completely.

Of course they're dangerous. But I didn't know who they were when I read the article. The article also says they're anti Jew. But that makes them no different than half of the teachers I have in the California State University system.

Like I said, I don't know anything about them. I do, however, remember reading in the news about the abominable antics of these Somalis in Lewiston. (It must have been a conservative paper, though.)

The truth be known, I don't like any immigrants who come to America to get all they can from us through welfare.

I don't like immigrants who sneak into America and rob, murder and steal.

I don't like immigrants who are openly anti American, yet use our generosity for their own ends.

Matter of fact, I don't like anybody who does these things: white, yellow, black or green, native born or foreign born.

I say, let's deport everybody who is pathologically antisocial, criminal, slothful, unpatriotic, etc.

Otherwise, our future generations are going to pay for our naivete. And pay, dearly.

For a better example, would there be a problem with an influx of French-Canadians? Would not just the mayor but nearly everyone else in town demand that they be settled elsewhere? The only difference between the current situation and this hypothetical situation is that Jesse Jackson & Co. won't be able to play the race card.

Returning to the current situation, I don't support Hale's org getting involved, and I think reasonable people who are opposed to being burdened with the Somalis should do whatever they can to make sure his org doesn't show up. As someone else pointed out, all they've done is just polarized everyone, and besmirched the name of everyone who's opposed to the Somalis settling there on non-racist grounds.

And, just for a couple of (unverified and perhaps wrong) data points, I believe 1/2 of the Somalis are unemployed. That's not unusual, considering that Lewistown isn't exactly a bustling center of world commerce.

And, I believe the Somalis were originally settled around Atlanta, but moved north because the welfare was greater and easier to obtain. I while back I read an article about the Somali immigration lawyer in the U.S. who served as the "tourguide" for the move.

You know, between semesters in college, I used to work for my father who was a contractor in Louisville, KY. His contracts were mostly with the defense department and the city of Louisville.

One job was at the Clarksdale Housing Project in Louisville. My job was to inspect electrical work done by our subcontractors, which meant I had to go into the projects.

You've never seen such filth. (I won't bore you with the details of race, however.) Infants were walking, in their homes, on, literally, hundreds of dead cockroaches. The infant's mothers never bothered to clean.

Crack and heroin addicts were everywhere.

There were active houses of prostitution.

Children were selling drugs and turning over the profits to dealers.

12 year old girls were advised by their mothers and grandmothers to "have a baby cause no one will take care of them, otherwise."

Residents bragged of being third and fourth generation welfare recipients.

Yea, I'd say deport them all, if such a thing were possible. But it isn't possible.

But what is possible is to stop anymore people from coming in who will require public assistance.

I would not oppose immigrants who are here legally, love America and have something to contribute. One of my best friends is from the Portugal, loves America, and hates liberals. I like that guy!

The rest, well, it reminds me of a Henny Youngman joke: "A guy is visiting DC and says, 'Y Y You kn kn know, you c c can t t take all th th these p p politicians and sh sh shoot 'em in th th the head.' The guy he's talking to says, 'That's easy for you to say!'"

Can you imagine what Clinton and Reno would've done if they were allowed to deport people who were "unpatriotic?" Most, if not all of us on FreeRepublic would be saying "about" funny.

Actually if the government wanted to, they could deport people who are naturalized citizens. It happened in our area where an elderly man was deported to Europe for allegedly being a war criminal back there when he was in his teens (he hadn't commited any crimes here nor was he on welfare). I don't know the details -- it was in the papers many years ago.

Since the Samolis are on welfare, how can they possibly benefit our country? So far no one has given a good reason why we should import Somalis. And it is a great way for terrorists to sneak into this contry.

I do believe we have a couple of Somalis lurking on this thread. I recommend watching "Blackhawk down" even though it partially whitewashed what was done to our servicemen in Somali.

I remember when this incident happened. I think the surviving relatives of our soldiers who died should have filed the messiest class-action lawsuit against that piece of human waste, Clinton, ever.

Unfortunately, we have laws that protect stupid politicians from their stupid/cowardly decisions.

Would you have marched with the Marxists who were marching against him? The diversity fanatics who counter-protested against Hale's group have Marxist ties up to their eyeballs. I kind of agree with the Polish general who, when asked who he would side with, if surrounded by Nazis on one side and Communists on the other, responded that he would fire in both direction as often as possible. Both camps are equally odious, Communists and Nazis alike.
