Shhhh.....don't let people know you have figured out that most of them are hypocrites.
Hypocrite is a word that comes to us from ancient Greek theatre which meant an actor. So, when someone said one thing and then did something entirely different, he (or she) was hypocritical.
When we're talking about patriotism, a hypocrite would be someone who parades the flag, yet behaves in such a way as to destroy our country. In this light, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy, John F. Kennedy, et al, are hypocrites.
The only way it would be possible to be a hypocrite on this thread would be for someone to say, "Let's deport all who are unpatriotic" while themselves, being unpatriotic. I'm guessing that's not the case, here.
It's not hypocritical to say, "If someone doesn't love America, then they are welcome to leave." It's not hypocritical to say, "If someone repeatedly defiles the generosity of America, then let's force them to leave."
You need to be careful about reducing your arguments to mere personal attacks upon those with whom you disagree. That's a fallacious argument called ad hominem abusive and destroys your credibility.
And that's what it's all about, isn't it? Credibility? After all, if no one's listening, then what's the sense in talking.
