Where's the "apology" you refer to in your title? This was my question also. I saw no apology in the article.

Too Little...
Too Late...
In light of the wartime footing this nation finds itself on, and her position as an elected official, her obscene 'remarks' crossed the line into a naked, bald-faced, blatant effort to aid and comfort the enemy.
Resigning from her office is not nearly enough to balance the scales at this late point.
Arrest the bitch...

Murray's "smoking gun" proof that Bin Ladin creates employment and construction opportunties in the Middle East while at the same time killing Americans.
US Air Force, Saudi Arabia in 1996.

MurryMom was swept off her feet in Chicago recently by Jessie Jackson.

"She should know better than that -- [bin Laden] is public enemy No. 1 and is behind despicable things. To use him for effect is outrageous," said Josh Feit, editor of The Stranger, Seattle's alternative weekly paper. Wow! If you're attacked by The Stranger for left-wing idiocy, then you've really fallen off the cliff. The Stranger is in favor of workers controlling the means of production. Patty's been attacked as too-left-wing by communists!

Does anyone know how long Ms. murray has been in office and whether or not she ever had a chance to vote to send foreign aid to the countries that obl has "helped" so much? If so, it would be interesting to know how she voted. If yes, then she knows what she said is a lie. If no, then she voted against what she is calling for us to do.
things that make ya go hmmmm........

The problem with Patty Murray is not that she is a traitor, but that she is dumb as a box of rocks. Both O'Reilly and Hannity & Colmes covered this subject yesterday. So I e-mailed both shows with the following comment: Patty Murray has her terrorists mixed up. It is Hezbollah, not Osama bin Laden, that has actually been building and running schools, hospitals, etc. They spend about half their money on such charities, and the other half murdering Jews and others.
Her other factual stupidity is that the US, both directly and through the UN (where we pay more of the bills than any other nation) has provided far more aid throughout the Middle East, and in Lebanon and Afganistan in particular, than any of the terrorists, including Hezbollah.
Ordinary Americans who pay attention to the news are well aware of these facts. There is no excuse for a US Senator (for now) Patty Murray, getting these basic facts dead wrong. She isn't smart enough for competent anti-Americanism. She also isn't smart enough to belong in Congress.

Thanks for the link; I had missed it.
Her 'apology' sounded quite clintonesque. RATner is in full CYA mode. I still think she's a traitorous b!tch.

"Republicans, and even President Bush, are said to be trying to draft Rep. Jennifer Dunn to run against Murray in the 2004 election."The President doesn't seem to have any problem "embracing differences" when it comes to abortion.
I have a problem with that.

I am sure that you are exactly right. Sen. Murray confused UBL and Taliban with Hezbollah (and even if she had made the correct reference, it would still have been a scandalous remark, as Pres Bush last year identified Hezbollah as a terrorist organization). This is someone who simply cannot speak correctly about the most important foreign policy matter facing the USA today.

Did you notice that O'Reilly didn't even touch this topic when he did his "mail" segment yesterday? I think he must have gotten a lot of flak for being such a weenie on this story.

Bin Laden's terrorists recently killed missionary hospital workers in Yemen. The people in the community where the missionaries were killed commented on how nice they were, even though the people are Muslim and the missionaries are Christian.
This gives you an idea not only of how evil Bin Laden is, but how dumb -- and evil -- Patty Murray is, that she would allege that "We have not" built hospitals and given aid to people in Muslim countries.

Republican Congresswoman Linda Smith ran against Patty Murray in an attempt to unseat her from the Senate. It didn't work... the mainstream GOP in Washington State was not supportive, and the unions and other big guns in the Democrat arsenal spent millions blasting Smith.
Smith then went to work on behalf of the Afghan women who were being horrendously abused and oppressed under the Taliban regime. This was long before September 11, 2001. She worked hard to get the word out to Americans about the suffering of Afghanistan's women and children, so many of us were well-informed about who the Taliban is when President Bush began our effort to oust them from power and destroy their friends, bin Laden's Al Quaeda.
