31-24 after 2 overtimes
ESPN is getting ready to finish coverage of an NBA game......I'll try to get a video uploaded of the play in it's entirety as soon as possible.
Ohio knew, or figured, all they had to do was stop the run then, which they did, much to their credit, I must admit.
But the second overtime should never have taken place.
Thanks. Given how young the OSU team is. We'll probably play this game again next year. See you at the BCS Championship game in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.
One more thing that ticks me off. If Miami had won, we'd be seeing Miami news all over the place on TV after the win. OSU wins and its a small wimper on the news scene.
I suspect the same goes for my beloved Browns. If they win this weekend, expect no news coverage of their win, but look out for the Cowboys and Parcell press converence. BTW: Did you hear Parcell's speak? He sounds like an idiot. He makes Police Chief Moose sound like a debate champion.
Often a ref will throw the flag after the play....if you noticed on miami's 2nd OT possession the same ref called a pass interference on ohio state...and he threw the flag after the play....sometimes the ref takes a while to reach into his pocket to fin his flag!
Thanks for the corroboration. It made an impression on me at the time that it could affect the outcome of the game and it almost did. Guess a lot of people here missed that one (Grin).
It might, if I gave a damn about either Miami or tOSU. Consider it an objective opinion.
Personally, I pull for Virginia Tech, Penn, and whoever's playing against U.Va.

That said, let me say that as a loyal OSU alum I have followed the team all year and, week in and week out, the Bucks just did what they had to this year to win games. That's what champions do. They find a way to win. It doesn't matter by how much or if they win ugly or win pretty.
So let the kids celebrate for a little while. Let them have their moment. They don't come very often and they never last, but you're only young once and championships are a relatively rare commodity.
I posted to you earlier about Ohio State being not only a great team, but on the kind of destiny edge that you could see all year.
They won several games where they were outplayed(most notably Michigan). I thought they deserved this one more than the ones in the Midwest.
A classic game. Congrats to both teams.

Not another... Do you think that wrapping your arms around the offensive player 5 yds past the line of scrimmage is legal? I don't, and the ref didn't either when he called 'holding - pass interference'.
Go Blue!
It was either pass interference or defensive holding. Either way it would have been first and goal.

OSU was selected not elected. No justice no peace (/Shelia jackson lee voice off)
