It wasn't an intentional omission on my part to not have the sideline angle from the start of the play........I wasn't fast enough to begin recording......

ESPN is getting ready to finish coverage of an NBA game......I'll try to get a video uploaded of the play in it's entirety as soon as possible.

Maybe you failed to notice a small thing that some other more detailed analysts can usually pick up on, and it was commented on besides - Dorsey was injured from that body-slam from that Ohio rusher, his arm was hanging like a rag when he threw that wide pass to that wide-open receiver which should have been a touchdown on the first play from the one yard line. You could actually see him wincing in pain on the replay.

Ohio knew, or figured, all they had to do was stop the run then, which they did, much to their credit, I must admit.

But the second overtime should never have taken place.

So congrats to the Buckeyes. You didn't just win a National Championship, you beat the best. However, beware. Hurricanes don't go away. They just go back to Spring Training to reload.

Thanks. Given how young the OSU team is. We'll probably play this game again next year. See you at the BCS Championship game in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.

You know when you agree with CNN you're in trouble. I suspect CNN will be all over the "bad" call.

One more thing that ticks me off. If Miami had won, we'd be seeing Miami news all over the place on TV after the win. OSU wins and its a small wimper on the news scene.

I suspect the same goes for my beloved Browns. If they win this weekend, expect no news coverage of their win, but look out for the Cowboys and Parcell press converence. BTW: Did you hear Parcell's speak? He sounds like an idiot. He makes Police Chief Moose sound like a debate champion.

****But the flag didn't come until after the ball passed the receiver. If it had been as you describe, it would have already been out.****

Often a ref will throw the flag after the play....if you noticed on miami's 2nd OT possession the same ref called a pass interference on ohio state...and he threw the flag after the play....sometimes the ref takes a while to reach into his pocket to fin his flag!

"Miami did get a break on a bad call that should have been a Buckeye first down with Jenkins at the sideline, then the punt, then the 17-17 all tie and then Miami up by 7 on to go down...."

Thanks for the corroboration. It made an impression on me at the time that it could affect the outcome of the game and it almost did. Guess a lot of people here missed that one (Grin).

Sounds like SoreLoserman!

It might, if I gave a damn about either Miami or tOSU. Consider it an objective opinion.

Personally, I pull for Virginia Tech, Penn, and whoever's playing against U.Va.

Geez, there sure is a lot of sore-loser whining on this thread. C'mon, guys, get over it. Its a game, you know. Miami won last year, and this year they didn't. Either way, its no big deal. Nobody died, and the world will keep turning and the sun will come up in the morning.

That said, let me say that as a loyal OSU alum I have followed the team all year and, week in and week out, the Bucks just did what they had to this year to win games. That's what champions do. They find a way to win. It doesn't matter by how much or if they win ugly or win pretty.

So let the kids celebrate for a little while. Let them have their moment. They don't come very often and they never last, but you're only young once and championships are a relatively rare commodity.

Amen about Mcgahee, you have to feel sorry for him. Yes, it was a great game.

I posted to you earlier about Ohio State being not only a great team, but on the kind of destiny edge that you could see all year.

They won several games where they were outplayed(most notably Michigan). I thought they deserved this one more than the ones in the Midwest.

A classic game. Congrats to both teams.

' Miami got hosed. No way was that pass interference in the first overtime.'

Not another... Do you think that wrapping your arms around the offensive player 5 yds past the line of scrimmage is legal? I don't, and the ref didn't either when he called 'holding - pass interference'.

Go Blue!

It was either pass interference or defensive holding. Either way it would have been first and goal.
