SUPPORT OUR TROOPS: PATRIOTS RALLY FOR AMERICA III, SATURDAY, JANUARY 18, 2003 IN WASHINGTON, D.C.
D.C. Chapter ^ | Friday, January 3, 2003 | Kristinn

Posted on 01/02/2003 9:10:08 PM PST by kristinn

The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic and MOVE-OUT! (Marines and Other Veterans Engaging Outrageous Un-American Traitors!) call all FReepers and lurkers in good standing, veterans and other patriotic Americans to join us in our nation's capital on Saturday, January 18, 2003 to show support for the men and women serving in our Armed Forces, and our Commander-in-Chief, as they continue to fight the war on terrorism and gear up to defend us against out-law regimes like Iraq and North Korea.

The enemy will be taking the field that day in D.C. with an "anti-war" protest organized by the communist front group IAC-A.N.S.W.E.R. with a rally at the Capitol (3rd Street on the Mall) and a march past the Marine Barracks at 8th and I Streets, SE, that finishes at the Washington Navy Yard, 8th and M Streets, SE. Mapquest Link.

Our purpose in gathering is to offer a peaceful, patriotic counter-point to the anti-American leftists who will be spewing their hatred and venom against what they call "America's war machine"--and what we call "the defenders of freedom."

We will muster from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Constitution Gardens which is right next to The Wall at 21st Street and Constitution Avenue, NW on the Mall.Mapquest Link.

At 10:30, we will fall out and proceed on foot and via Metro or cars to the Marine Barracks at 8th and I Streets, SE. There, we will line the sidewalk along 8th Street and exercise our rights as citizens to observe the public parade by the leftists and to peacefully offer our opinion of it. You should plan on being there until at least 2 or 3 p.m.

We are asking folks to bring American and Gadsden flags, large and small, and their service colors. Also bring signs with messages supporting our troops and America.

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for demonstrating will be in effect: No violence, no racism, no profanity, no threats, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

We expect the leftists to be peaceful, however there are always a few yahoos who like to stir up trouble. Let the law enforcement officers take care of them. They are experts at crowd control and are there to ensure that everyone's rights are respected.

More details will be announced in the days ahead. We are awaiting approval for our permit at Constitution Gardens, which should come in a few days.

Here is a link to the thread on FR's USO Canteen with the e-mail message from MOVE-OUT!

Hello all-

Despite recent controversies, I am still dedicated to our cause. And because of that dedication, Jay Severin, Boston radio host, has asked to speak to me on air about Patriots Rally III. This is a chance to get some New Englanders in on the act! Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Somebody needs to remind her that King Kong can't climb the WTS with her any more.

Somebody remind King Kong that with Jessica Lange he better strap a board to his ass.

LOL! You may have a pimply white arse, Bro, though I have absolutely no desire to verify that it is, indeed, white or pimply!

I have never been to Woodstock, and have absolutely no desire to go there. I do not and have never had long hair and do not own and will never wear love beads or any other hippie regalia. LOL!

tgslTakoma: Where is the picture you took of my "bead?" We gotta stop these ugly rumors! LOL!

It really is simple but you gotta do your homework first.

Write down the basic facts: date, time, place, who, what, when, where, why, then call.

Speak slowly and distinctly. The general public is really stupid.
Avoid controversy and change subject always to what you are going to accomplish.

I do it here locally with a great talk show host. Yes, I was scared at first but after the first 15 seconds and you get in the flow, it is easy.

One more tip. Make your point, shut up and breath, it is time to think ahead.

Good luck Freeper Hobsonphile.

Far be it from me to boast -- well, not TOO far -- but I would like to know that the much bally-hooed "weather effect" of my attendance at Freeper rallies is already taking hold.

BillF playfully mentioned something about "hot air" in this connection, and I would like you to note that that's exactly what's happening! The expected temperature is rising and the forecast of precipitation on Friday is being withdrawn.

I only claim a ten-degree weather effect, of course, so winter clothing is still called for.

Please don't be scared. I am joking. or am I?

Coming to the rally this weekend and looking for a nice place to eat dinner? Washington restaurants have a special where the high-end restaurants will serve you lunch for $20 and dinner for $30 this weekend. Participating restaurants can be found here. Protest in style!

Important weather ALERT !!!

OK folks, listen up ! This is what we got here in DC.

Not a whole lot.

According to NewsChannel8, and according to my kitchen window... we have a grand total of 1-1.5" of snow.

That means that the busloads of America-haters are coming to town, and unfortunately will not be stuck at Interstate rest stops.

But the GOOD NEWS is this: It looks like you guys will have smooth sailing for your travels here!

It's cold here, so bring your long johns and mittens and stuff; and boots will help keep your feet warm and happy. Other than that, things are coming together nicely.

Thank you, FreeTheHostages, for being our good-weather-fairy.

Let's ROLL !

I Was There...

This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.
