I watch Fox and Friends every morning. I can't tell that one is more conservative/liberal than the others.
Over time, all three have been scripted as increasingly conservative. I think the writers at Fox held back a bit until they could see how to sell it. But, over the course of time and with regard to the total amount of conservative commentary offered by the three hosts, Edie is still out in the lead. Also, she tends to speak more hardline and more detailed opinion on foreign policy/military than the other two. Look for this to be more noticable when we enter the war news cycle again. I expect they'll do the same thing with Edie when it comes to 2004 election coverage. She almost always comes out the heavier hitter on substantive issues.

Go here:
Dish NetworkThe equipment and installation is basically free for one or two sets (you pay up front, but receive a refund each month for one year to offset the cost).
The programming is $23/mo for 50 channels, $32 for 100, and $41 for 150 channels.
Best of all, you get NO ABCNBCCBS unless you want to pay extra.

I agree about Mancow.
E.D.'s got the looks and brains. The other two... well, they need better talent, IMHO. And replace Mancow with Howard.

I'd rather the Fox trio then "perky Katie" or "View without a clue". A lot of people use them to wake up in the morning and don't want to go to work, feeling like a greyed out news drone. The trio gets fairly serious when there is something horrible brewing...they actually came across as re-assuring neighbors or friends, when.... say the towers came down....don't knock them too much!

We've got the 150 channel deal, and in complete agreement that there's still nothing to watch, most of the time, anyway. We do like Discovery Channel, Biography Channel, TLC, and even CourtTV (when
Forensic Files is on).
Still, that's not much for 150 channels. We've created special menus and weeded out the shopping channels, the music channels (not just MTV, but the ones that are really radio/stereo), the cartoon channels, etc. That makes surfing a little easier, but it highlights that we aren't really getting 150 good channels.
Still, it's worth it. From 6-7, I'm completely unavailable to friends and family; that's when Special Report with Brit Hume is on. I can't get enough of the "Grapevine" and the panel.

See what happens when americans are given a choice....we rock! Imagine what would happen if just one of the big 3 networks quit spewing leftest goobly gock and actually presented conservative views.

Since the discussion has touched on it let me throw out for the Christian viewer that there is a third satellite service available called Sky Angel. It has 16 Christian/family friendly tv channels and 16 Christian radio channels. It is received on Dish Network equipment and is broadcast from the 61.5W position on the Echostar III satellite. This will require an extra dish.
Please check out DBSFORUMS.COM for detailed discussion of DISH, Direct TV, and other satellite TV issues. They also have the links to all the providers as well as the reception maps, comparative channel lineups and pricings etc. It's a good resource for those looking to get a system. (or maximize use of the system they have)

satty is the way to go at least for me. What do you do if you want it in multiple rooms?

It's risky to generalize, but in my own case, this is the first Christmas in my 56 years that I have ever been involuntarily unemployed. We spent less than $100 on presents for our families, and the only thing we bought for ourselves was a Dish Network dish. Friend, you are not alone. Keep your chin up, things are getting better. However, I think its foolish for some to ignore the truth because it doesnt help their partisan case or it doesnt fit their ideology. Just because Christmas is soft doesnt mean that Bush is responsible. Some conservatives are just as irrational as the Dems.

Then you OBVIOUSLY didn't see the Conan O'Brien show last night. Williams sounded more like a Leftist than a so-called 'journalist.' I thought it was Dan Blather, at first. What exactly did he say that got you so riled up? Was it in response to a Letterman framed question?
He even made snipe shots at the Fox News Channel.
Gee, I thought you realized that competitors did that. Guess you must have been an only child, no sibbling rivalry here. LOL.

Dave, you---and the reporters---also, though, have to note that ON-LINE sales hit an all time high, and I think were up about 50%. People are not going to malls as much because they can buy on-line. We did MUCH of our Christmas shopping on line this year. I agree that from what Ive read and heard, online sales were much higher this year. However, I dont think enough people are shopping online to have accounted for the dearth of sales reported by the Wal-Marts, etc. If it has then the economy is in for even more massive restructuring in that many current retail stores are not needed if people are buying online.

That piece of used toilet paper called The Washington Post raised their newstand price from 25 cents to 35 cents.

But I gotta say that the morning show is more than I can take, sometimes it is painful to watch. What? Never heard this reaction before. I purposely get up at 5:00 AM just to watch Fox & Friends. It's the highlight of my day. Love their humor. What am I missing in your remarks? Where's the pain part?

I'm eyeing the bigger screen HDTV and plasma sets. I just bought a Pioneer Elite HDTV 53" for $3400. It's the best rear projection on the market, IMO and from what others on FR have mentioned. Try your neighborhood Home Theatre store. You might be able to get it for less in January. It's FABULOUS!!!!! Hey, you only live once. Enjoy

Now WHY was it, again, that HILLARY RODHAM -&- BILL CLINTON turned down 3 Free Offers to bring OSAMA bin LADEN to an American Jail and Trial for his Terrorist acts against us during the 1990's, thus not nipping the Attacks of Sept. 11th before they could happen...??? Well, thanks to Sen. Cow-Patty Murray, now we know it was because Osama was building hospitals and day care centers and the Clintons will do anything for the children.

"Which woman do you despise the most"....she would have won that, too.
I agree, and she probably would have won with a much higher percentage.

What do you do if you want it in multiple rooms? Dish Network supplies a 2-LNB dish and two receivers. For more, you can either order an additional dish/receivers or pipe the audio/video signal from one room to the other.
