Former Blaine City Council member David White has started a petition to recall U.S. Sen. Patty Murray from office for comments she made recently about terrorist leader Osama bin Laden.
White said he will begin circulating the petition soon and will ask the Whatcom County Republican Party to solicit signatures, then present the petition to federal officials.

Patty Murray - day 12 Vanity | 12/31/2002 | Moneyrunner Posted on 12/31/2002 5:41 AM MST by moneyrunner Patty Murray day 12
Patty Murrays allies in the Democrat party, such as Senator Biden, have defended her by claiming she is ignorant. Patty Murrays praise of Osama bin Laden has been shown to be factually incorrect as well as deeply offensive to women to say nothing of Americans in general. The claims that OBL builds day care centers in a society where women cannot leave the home without a male escort, or hold a job is bizarre. She praises OBL for building schools that do not allow girls to attend.
There is, however, a larger question. Patty Murray has held OBL up as an example to Americans on the assumption that charitable works by the US can bring the love and peace that appears to have eluded us by the current level of support we provide to counties in that part of the world.
Leaving aside the $170 million that we gave in aid to the government in Afghanistan in 1991 prior to 9/11, what are the fruits of the aid that has been offered over decades of dedicated service to those less fortunate in the Middle East? According to Patty Murray, this is exactly the sort of thing that the American people were NOT doing, and Osama is. Well, she was wrong on two counts: the American people, through their government, and through private agencies like our churches, have been healing the sick, lame and blind in these societies. We have also established schools to educate the local population. We have provided clean drinking water and built roads to help farmers get their produce to market. As a reward, militant Islamofacists have gone on a killing spree.
The world was shocked - but should not have been - to hear that a devout Moslem shot four Americans in a Baptist missionary hospital in Yemen, killing three. The latest victims are hospital director William E. Koehn, 60, of Arlington, Texas, who had planned to retire next year after 28 years of service; purchasing agent Kathleen A. Gariety, 53, of Wauwatosa, Wis.; and Dr. Martha C. Myers, 57, of Montgomery, Ala.
Kathleen Gariety had been in Yemen for about 10 years and along with her hospital work had helped educate Yemeni children, said her brother Jerome J. Gariety Jr. of Colgate, Wis.
"She was a wonderful, devoted person," he said. "She loved the children very much." That may have been the problem.
This latest lesson, this atrocity, is no reason to despair. We must not pull back from helping the poor achieve a better life, healing the sick and teaching the ignorant. But, if after 9/11 we need another lesson, the murder of the doctors and missionaries reinforces the lesson that the world is a dangerous place and innocence is no protection against violence.
However, it vividly illustrates the incredible - the willful - ignorance of Patty Murray and all those that believe as she does. 35 years of selfless service to the poor of Yemen did not buy love, or even shelter from the violence sweeping that part of the world. In fact, the doctors in that hospital were targeted specifically because of the aid they were giving. They were killed to eliminate the threat of American society the good part of American society to radical Moslems. And Patty Murray, who has lived all her life in a Liberal cocoon, protected from reality by a benevolent society, will never understand that.
Thanks to Patty Murray we are reminded that she represents the thinking of the Democratic Party. The party of KKK Kleagle Robert Byrd, Bull Connor, Lester Maddox and all the rest of the segregationist South. The party that kept Blacks in actual slavery before the Civil War, formed the Ku Klux Klan after the war and has herded them into crime ridden ghettos while keeping them in poverty in the 20th century. The party that has cynically consigned generations of poor black children to lives of illiterate despair because of the political debt it owes to the teachers union. The party that celebrates Communist dictators like Fidel Castro. The party that holds Osama Bin Laden up as an example. The party of Democrat kingmaker, black racist and anti-Semite Al Sharpton. The party of presidents that lie under oath, suborn perjury, rape women and sells pardons to the highest bidder. The party that votes early and often. The party that divides rather than unifies.
Patty Murray has let slip the mask of compassion that hides the true face of the modern, corrupt, racist, bigoted, divisive, blame-America-first Democrat Party. We cannot allow the mask to slip back over the face of hate.
The time has come to prove that the old media does not control the access to the opinions of the American people. The Internet, talk radio and one lone fair and balanced TV network have finally come into their own.
Weren't the race-baiters saying that Lott's statements were code words for what the entire GOP believed but normally did not publically say?
What's good for the goose is good for the gander. We should be honest people and notice that Taliban Patty was using "code words" known and used by the Demoncat party to represent their universal hate for the united States, their undying love for bloody terrorism, and their deep desire for Islamofascisim
