Send Senator "Taliban Patty" Murray (D-Wa)
an e-mail asking her to resign her Senate position
By now I am sure you are all familiar with the statement that Senator Patty Murray, the Democrat Senator from Washington State, made which was praising Osama bin Laden. There is an article that was posted today which showed that now the TalibanOnline has put the article from WorldNetDaily on their website.
It is disgusting that a U.S. Senator would give "aid and comfort" to the enemy by making such a foolish statement. That the enemy has put it up on their website is a good illustration why the old rule that criticism of the President (and etc.) stops at the borders. ONLY Liberal Democrats don't seem to honor that unwritten rule of honor anymore. In fact, the Liberal Democrats don't seem to have any honor about a lot of things. But that's another subject.

"We've got to ask, why is this man so popular around the world?" said Murray, according to the Vancouver Columbian newspaper. "Why are people so supportive of him in many countries that are riddled with poverty?" The second-term senator, who faces re-election in 2004, was responding to questions from world history students and student government leaders at Columbia River High School in Vancouver, Wash., on Wednesday. Murray said, according to the Vancouver paper, that bin Laden has been "out in these countries for decades, building schools, building roads, building infrastructure, building day care facilities, building health care facilities, and the people are extremely grateful. We haven't done that." "How would they look at us today if we had been there helping them with some of that rather than just being the people who are going to bomb in Iraq and go to Afghanistan?" Murray asked. Murray, chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in the 107th Congress, voted against an October Senate resolution – passed by a 77-23 margin – that gives President Bush authority to use military force against Saddam Hussein's regime. Murray concluded the session with students by challenging them to consider alternatives to war, the Columbian reported. She said that while building up Third World nations is costly, war is expensive too. "Your generation ought to be thinking about whether we should be better neighbors out in other countries so that they have a different vision of us," said Murray. "It is a debate I think we ought to have." Murray to Press - "Patty Tired!"

An irate Patty Murray swung angrily from her tire here today, denouncing her critics' negative reviews of her remarks praising Osama bin Laden.
"Patty tired!" Day signed as the hirsute congressthing shrieked in rage and flung her feces at rapidly retreating critics. Murray, through her interpreter added "Apple not love tired Patty!"
Zoo officials were at a loss of explain her behavior.
She was very excited to be studying more recent history that semester - it seemed she had studied ancient history until she was pretty well versed.......
She was expecting "some" of the comments by this speaker to be negative, but not everything out of his mouth......she said he was anti government, talked about drugs, sex...... she really was upset with the whole thing......... I was upset that the teacher hadn't checked him out prior to allowing him to speak to the class........THAT was going to be the focus of my complaint..that he was unsuitable to speak to the class with the language he used, and the content......... I didn't have a problem with hearing the "two" sides of the story - but she needed to be more aware of how it would be presented...........
Apparently the Military Dad thought so too........ and he did a great job of giving some facts on the positive side.
Thanks for the explanation and brief overview of Seattle. Vermont is not much better. VT is my wifes' home state, mine is Colorado. Increasingly CO has less and less to brag about too.
I can't post what ought to be done to pols who accept money from foreign nations or even foreign corporations. Even if it came from an ally like Britain. I think I know what Thomas Jefferson would suggest. Or Thomas Paine or Samuel Adams. It is really more clearly sedition than what Taliban Patty was blathering.
