Documentary alleges U.S. complicity in Afghan massacre

A controversial documentary film, which aired in full for the first time last week on German television, charges that U.S. soldiers were complicit in the mass killing and burial of thousands of Afghan prisoners of war more than a year ago.

I thought that was war - you kill us, we kill you. Sh!t happens in war - can't start it and then whine afterwards - it just isn't done.

So US troops observed war attrosities. OK, I can buy that. These same troops watched as the Taliban executed people who tried to surrender to them. So, I guess turn-about is fair play. But, as the Northern Alliance were the one's killing the POW's; would the author have had the US Troops fire on our allies to protect the enemy?

Just means there's now a couple thousand fewer terrorists left in the world. That's good.

US Forces do not, nor do they condon executions or genocide against their enemies. If this happened, it would not imply American Policy or Military Tactics or even imply that Americans allowed it to happen.

The Taliban did, as documented previously, commit these same type of crimes against their fellow countrymen (of course the Taliban were actually proped up by foreign mercenaries from mostly Arab/African countries). Most Afgan's would never kill each other for sport or revenge. Foreign invaders, however, are another issue.

Even if we accept this allegation as true... it is suspect considering the bias of the sources and the motivation to defame the U.S... it doesn't come close to rising to the level of autrocities that the U.N. themselves are complicit in.

For instance, on Israels Northern border w/ Lebanon U.N. peacekeepers gave U.N. marked vehicles to Hizzbulah terrorists in order for these terrorists to kidnap and murder Israeli soldiers and citizens inside Israel-- moreover, in Jenin, U.N. facilities were actively used as a safe haven for Hamas to store weapons and hide terrorists sought after by Israel.

My point is the U.N. does not have clean hands and should play no role in investigating any alleged "autrocities".

Lastly, if the EU and UN wish to hold America responsible for the acts of the Northern Alliance (the NA was already at war w/ the Taliban prior to America's war on terror)then they must hold Syria and a whole cabal of Arab states responsible for the acts of Arab terrorists under the same theory of agency law.

Why don't the Germans just take the next step and blame it on the Jews and Isreal? These animals deserve to be ostracized.

I just saw the documentary tonight. I went into it with a completely open mind. I must admit the evidence is strong for US complicity in the massacre.

It is however inconclusive, as a vital piece of information, a video allegedly showing US soldiers overlooking executions, was not available. This lack of this raised slight suspicions in my mind.

However, the Pentagon's response is not helpful in quashing stuff like this.

Oh well time will tell one way or the other.
